Chapter 2 begins when Tier One of the Champion Shop unlocks.

You approach V'Kai's spot, but it is empty. Odd... At this time of the day, he'd usually be chilling here surrounded by his friends. Well, he is a young dude. He's probably off eating Marula Fruit somewhere and just didn't have a moment to meet you this time.

You wait for a bit, nodding off until you feel a cold shadow over your muzzle. You open your eyes, seeing the scarred paws of a big male lion. "Where's V'Kai?" Hearing a gravelly voice, you lift your head to see a lion with a painted face, lots of scars, and a very annoyed expression.

As you get up, the other lion turns out to be much bigger than you. Musclier, heavier, and grumpier as well. "What a lazy twat he is. I'm his brother, Vashkartzen, but sometimes I doubt we share any genes. I needed some things done, and every time I get out from that bloody pit, he fucks off. Are you one of his annoying friends?" He snarls at you, but you not being a groupie or a drunken teenager raises his doubts. You explain he was helping you with meeting fans, and the lion's eyes slowly wince as he gets annoyed. "Of course. Lingering, procrastinating idiot. He will never achieve anything like this. What is YOUR free time spent on, dude? Training to be the best, or hanging out with your.. Fans? Maybe you should join me after hours."

"Of course." A short snarl of contempt is the last thing you hear before Vashkartzen slowly walks away. You feel like it's your last chance to change your mind. Sweet sun, V'Kai's company and meeting fans, or hardcore training with his brother?

Vashkartzen walks along his well-known path and accepts your presence next to him. He shows you his own spot, far away from everyone else. It's a secluded area littered with animal bones and plenty of permanent scratches in the rocks. "Here I train with other lions between challenges. You're up for a spar, dude?"

Clicking "Come at me bro!" or "Yeah but don't go all out on me!" will automatically redirect you to a fight with Vashkartzen. You must lose the fight to proceed with the storyline.

Vashkartzen will hit you for 45 HP each time. This is a very difficult battle to win, so you should have an easy time losing. Lucky Feet are disabled for this battle.

If you somehow win or choose to "Flee", you will need to visit the storyline page to fight him again.

Once Vashkartzen has been defeated, you will be prompted to "Return to Story?"

"Heh, at least you tried to fight for real. I pinned my brother with one paw and he cried for mercy." You look at Vash and decide to not share V'Kai's bragging. Boys will be boys. You spend some time listening to Vashkartzen's experiences in the Arena and take mental notes of every solution to tricky situations. You start to respect him for his dedication to winning and sheer passion for fighting. It's clearly what he lives for.

"Well, [NAME], if you're ever around you can visit me between fights... Unless you still want to loaf around with Pleb'kai." You raise your eyebrow, noticing the subtle similarities between brothers. You're pretty sure either of them will be upset if you befriend the other brother, so you should think twice who you want to side with.

The button that you choose is the brother you will be completing quests with until Chapter 3 unlocks, so be sure to choose carefully!

This ends Chapter 2. From here, you can complete daily quests each rollover until Chapter 3 unlocks, which occurs when Tier Two of the Champion Shop opens.
