If you want your little cub to be the very best lion, like no one ever was, you'll need to start training them! After all, you do want those stats, don't you?

Cub Training

The ultimate goal when it comes to cub training is to try and get the cub's experience bar to max out to 100%. Training is essential for your stat game, and starting your cubs off with training at 5 months old will help ensure that you may reach your 100% goal. As long as you reach 75% on your training bar, any stats earned during training will be applied to your newly aged 2 year old. However, if you FAIL to reach at least 75%, you will receive no stat gains. It should also be noted, the higher % past 75 you make it, the more potential stats your cub is gonna earn in adulthood.
Please note, if you king a male adolescent who has been cub and adol trained, he will not receive the stats. He must age to 2 years old to get them.

kNMhSeg.png

Cub training has a 80% chance of success every click.
When training, the initial period of training when a cub is between 5 and 11 months old is where you will accrue the VAST bulk of stats that your cub will earn when they grow into adults. Different training actions grant different stats, so it is cubhood that shapes the type of stats that will be granted.

NOTE: If your cub runs away they will not retain the training you have done prior to that

Wrestling

Female Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Awkward [LIONESS] challenged you to a bit of wrestling. You did not want to give up your nice spot in the shade— unless she stared at you like that. She wins after giving you a silly face Was that [LIONESS] over there staring at a boulder? This is not what you meant when you suggested some training. Was she attempting to move the rock with the power of her mind? Okay then, You just let her carry on with that.
Brutal [LIONESS] delivered a devastating elbow drop before you could even say ‘ready’. Harsh. Growling in frustration [LIONESS] got in one final jab before tapping out.
Calm Patiently, [LIONESS] waited until her opponent started to get bored, before rushing at them. It did look like fun, but [LIONESS] said that she wanted to watch.
Cold With naught but silence and an icy glare, [LIONESS] smoothly took down her opponent. [LIONESS] found herself sprawled onto the ground today during tusseling. She hissed and snarled at everyone in response to her loss.
Cuddly [LIONESS] looked oddly excited to be wrestling. You understood later, when she held her opponent in a hug to beat them. [LIONESS] decided to give hugs to the losing cubs instead of wrestling herself.
Curious [LIONESS] wrestled with her pridemate while asking them what their plans were for later today. [LIONESS] got ready to wrestle, but instead she saw her mom in the distance and began to wonder what she brought home for dinner.
Distant [LIONESS] is quite a capable wrestler, but she did not appear too interested in hearing any praise. A pridemate asked [LIONESS] to wrestle, but she just stared off into the distance until the other lion walked away.
Distrustful As a result of never taking her eyes off of her opponent, [LIONESS] was able to bag herself a win just because the other cub couldn't make a move that she didn't see coming. After eyeing her opponent up and down with a bird-like gaze, [LIONESS] shook her head "no" and absolutely refused to fight them, claiming that there was just something off about them.
Down to Earth It was a close call, but [LIONESS] managed to win the match at the last second. The other cubs cheered and hollered for her, but she insisted that it wasn't a big deal. [LIONESS]'s opponent won the match, only to turn around and gloat about it. All she did though was shrug her shoulders, not caring enough to get upset as she knew she tried her best.
Emotional Pouncing on her opponent, [LIONESS] was thrilled with her technique and proudly smiled in triumph. Way to go! After losing the wrestling match, [LIONESS] started to sniffle and cry rather loudly. You hoped her mom wouldn’t hear or she’d think you did this.
Evasive Finding that nobody bought her excuse today, [LIONESS] decided to go into an unexpected frenzy in order to get this torture over with already, gaining her an easy win over her shocked and intimidated opponent. Holding up a limp paw, [LIONESS] insisted that she just couldn't wrestle today, even throwing in some pathetic mewls for good measure.
Focused With impressive determination and some well-placed swats, [LIONESS] arrived at victory! Unfortunately, [LIONESS] was watching you so closely that she forgot to keep tabs on her flank! A sneak attack sent her reeling.
Friendly While pinned on her back, [LIONESS] asked if her opponent was born during a wet or a dry season. While they thought about it, she escaped and pinned them down. [LIONESS] mentioned that the weather was beautiful today. In irritation at not being responded to, she went to talk to someone else.
Gentle [LIONESS] and a friend wrestled briefly, but the match was all for fun and they parted in good spirits. [LIONESS] was not eager to join in the rambunctious wrestling of the others, so she hung back and waited for a new game to start.
Graceful In one fluid motion, [LIONESS] had her opponent pinned on their back! Wow, she’s good. [LIONESS] was unable to outmaneuver you, but still managed a smile and complimented your skill.
Gracious [LIONESS] easily beat her pridemate at a wrestling game and took compliments to her skill with a polite smile. You defeated [LIONESS] while wrestling.. She smiled, expressing hope that she can be as good as you one day.
Grumpy She grumbled and complained the entire time, but [LIONESS] did pay careful attention during the training session. You had to correct the technique of [LIONESS] and she stormed off with a huff.
Harsh While in a grapple, [LIONESS] whispered something into her opponent's ear only for the other cub to burst into tears and run back home to its mommy. What could she have possibly said…? [LIONESS] lost in a fair fight only to start mouthing off and insulting her opponent, listing off every single thing wrong with them and why nobody likes them. Wow, what a sore loser.
Humorous [LIONESS] successfully distracted her opponent during the tussle by farting in their face. Hey, if it works? [LIONESS] was laughing too hard at her own stupid story to get a good hold on her opponent.
Intrepid [LIONESS] boldly took on a much larger opponent and emerged victoriously! Though her attempt to wrap herself around her opponent’s legs was an inspired one, [LIONESS] was easily outmaneuvered.
Joyful [LIONESS] play wrestled with her pridemate, having a great time! [LIONESS] decided to attack your precious mane, all the while giggling madly. Ah, cubs.
Laidback [LIONESS] engaged a friend in a tussle near the den, playfully fighting over a snack, and she won! [LIONESS] let her opponent win during their training session; winning isn’t everything, after all.
Lazy [LIONESS] wrestled with minimal effort, but she got the job done! [LIONESS] looked at her partner and shook her head. Nope. Not today.
Loud [LIONESS] announced her recent wrestling victory loudly for the entire pride to hear! After a loss, [LIONESS] complained at length to anyone who would listen that she was sure her opponent cheated!
Messy [LIONESS] smeared her muddy paws across your eyes. Can’t wrestle what you can’t see! You easily pinned [LIONESS]. Ha! Now she HAS to take a bath!
Mischievous Feigning terror, [LIONESS] pointed behind you with a startled shout of "look out!" only to pounce on your tail while laughing like a maniac the moment you turned around to look. After noticing the poorly hidden smirk on [LIONESS]'s face, you didn't fall for any of her tricks no matter how much she tried to fool you.
Modest [LIONESS] tackled her opponent with confidence and wrestled out a win! She shyly told you it was all thanks to your training, though. [LIONESS] wasn’t sure she was up for tussling today, and well, it seems she was right. Sometimes it IS mind over matter?
Needy [LIONESS] wrestled with her pridemate, stopping halfway to ask if that move was allowed Instead of wanting to wrestle with her pridemate, [LIONESS] played with your tail.
Nurturing [LIONESS] wrestled briefly with her pridemate until she had them pinned and then began to groom their face, much to said pridemate's chagrin. [LIONESS] attempted to wrestle with her pridemate but got worried she would hurt them so she loosened her grip and lost the scuffle.
Obedient Without questioning you, [LIONESS] immediately charged at her pridemate, wrestling them to the ground in a prompt victory. [LIONESS] seemed a little intimidated by her pridemate’s stance at first but she obediently followed your every instruction and unfortunately lost due to a bad call on your part. Ooooops…
Proud After a brief struggle, [LIONESS] sauntered away from her opponent, head and tail held high in victory. Look, [LIONESS] had JUST finished grooming her fur. She was just not about to roll around on the ground and get it messed up again.
Prudent After carefully observing many matches, [LIONESS] figured out the best strategy for pinning her opponent.. [LIONESS] felt like all this roughhousing was too messy and disorganized. She walked away to groom
Rebellious You gave pointers to [LIONESS] as you watched her wrestle with one of her pridemates. With a put upon growl, she followed your instructions, securing her victory. [LIONESS] was just not having any of your help and refused to move to the right when you told her to. Her sparring partner caught her off guard and knocked her off of her paws.
Romantic [LIONESS] wrestled well, almost like a champ, but after every move she would stop and comment on how lovely your mane was. Uhhh, thank you? [LIONESS] was ready to wrestle when she saw all the boys watching her. She got so consumed in trying to impress them with her lovely eyes that wrestling was going to have to wait.
Sarcastic You pit [LIONESS] against her pridemate for a training scuffle. After her win, she tells exaggerated tales about how she nearly died when asked how training went. When asked to join training, [LIONESS] tells you she’d rather eat elephant dung. Well then.
Sassy [LIONESS] flashed a grin after taking down her wrestling opponent. No one is messing with her today! [LIONESS] grimaced at her defeat. She wanted to get in good practice, but the universe seemed to be working against her. She’ll show everyone next time!
Secretive Wrestling isn’t supposed to be about dodging your opponent and watching for an open spot, but it worked for [LIONESS]. That’s what matters, right? [LIONESS] said that she would much rather watch from way over there, almost out of sight.
Sinister [LIONESS] pounced right for your throat. Hey ouch! Those little teeth sure hurt! [LIONESS] thought wrestling was boring, and didn’t want to stop playing with her skull collection.
Snarky Hah! [LIONESS] knew she could wrestle you into submission! [LIONESS] gave you a scathing look. She was not about to go roll around in the dirt with anyone.
Soft [LIONESS] eventually pinned her opponent, but it took a little longer. [LIONESS] insisted she was already strong enough, and didn’t want to hurt her opponent.
Spontaneous While it wasn’t expected, [LIONESS] rolled a cub larger than her. Everything was going fine until [LIONESS] smacked another cub in the eye.
Stingy Even though it wasn’t time to play, [LIONESS] didn’t want anyone near her toys, and would tussle anyone who came close. No one wanted to get on [LIONESS]’s bad side. They had to eat supper with her, and she might push them away, so no one wanted to wrestle.
Stubborn [LIONESS] handily took down her wrestling partner. It took you a good while to make her let the other cub go, though. [LIONESS] steadfastly refused to join in the wrestling. You were unable to persuade her to do so.
Timid [LIONESS] didn’t want to wrestle, but did well in her efforts to get away. [LIONESS] cried at the idea of being so close to another cub, and ran back to the den, crying for her caretaker.
Trusting [LIONESS] was a bit nervous about getting hurt during wrestling practice, but you assured her that it would be fine. Sure enough, she walked away victoriously! You told [LIONESS] that she ought to try using her left paw more during practice and….she went a bit overboard. Ouch.
Unreliable [LIONESS] finally decided it might be fun to tussle for a while, until she got bored. You sat waiting, ready to tussle… but it seemed [LIONESS] had found something better to do.
Upbeat LIONESS] won after a long wrestling match, but complimented her opponent on their last move. [LIONESS] hasn’t won a match all day, but she was thankful for all the exercise.
Vain [LIONESS] had just finished grooming when she was tackled from behind. Upset to have her fur messed up, she enacted swift revenge! You invited [LIONESS} to show off her new wrestling skills. She glowered at you and continued grooming her paw.
Warm [LIONESS] wrestled you to the ground, then promptly rubbed her chin across your cheek. Aww. As soon as she got near, [LIONESS] just wanted to rub against you warmly.
Wary [LIONESS] was not eager to join in, but carefully watched your every move during the lesson and applied the technique flawlessly. A friend asked [LIONESS] to wrestle, but she declined, backing away.

Male Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Arrogant [LION] cackled about how pitiful his opponent was. What puny maggots - they never stood a chance! [LION] growled that he was just having an off day. He’ll prove his strength next time!
Bold [LION] saw an opening in his opponent’s defenses and he went for it! Success! It was a risky move to grab for his opponent’s legs, and [LION] didn’t quite pull it off. Maybe next time?
Candid [LION] pointed out that he won the wrestling match because he got a good hold on his opponent’s scruff. Blunt but true. [LION] sighed and mumbled that he lost the tussle because he got dirt in his eyes.
Chivalrous [LION] charged right into battle and won the tussle fair and square. What a clean victory! [LION] nearly had his opponent pinned, but they seemed to be hurting so he let them get up again.
Confident [LION] had a good feeling when he sized up his opponent - and sure enough, he tussled his rival right into the dirt! You tried to tell [LION] that he wouldn’t be able to defeat an older cub in a tussle, but he wanted to try anyways!
Even-Tempered [LION] seemed to maintain a steady calm while tussling with a pridemate. Avoiding anger helped him nail his opponent when they left an opening! [LION] got thoroughly trounced in a wrestling match, but he seems pretty damn chill about it. Next time, little buddy.
Forgiving [LION] happily helped his classmate up after a really tough tussle. [LION] smiled and congratulated his opponent after he was thoroughly trashed.
Heartless After a moment of tussling, [LION] gleefully bit down hard on their opponent to secure a win. Uh…that’s blood. With a humiliating defeat, [LION] refused to stop baring his teeth at his opponent.
Humble Although he performed impeccably, [LION] claimed it was all thanks to your careful instruction. [LION] failed to get a good hold on his opponent and he accepted his defeat. He promised he’ll do better next time.
Hyperactive [LION] practically bowled his opponent over with pure energy and gusto. Wow. [LION] spent so much time running around that he tired himself out by the time wrestling started. Oops.
Loner [LION] successfully put his opponent into the dirt, then walked off without a word. It sounds like [LION] is muttering bad poetry to himself about the pain and tragedy of his life again.
Mysterious [LION] gazed off into the distance with his victory. You hear a couple female cubs giggle to each other. [LION] looked pretty sullen after training, having gotten tired and covered in mud. He didn’t say anything, though.
Patient [LION] tussled in silence, simply watching his opponent’s moves and waiting for an opening. The effort paid off! [LION] got matched with a more exuberant cub to tussle, and he ended up moving too slow. It will take him a while to pick all the dirt out of his teeth.
Self-Absorbed [LION] struck an epic pose that best showed off his coat after he successfully trounced his opponent. [LION] growled that he deserved to win. The other cub was two days older. That wasn’t fair at all! Clearly they had the upper hand!
Unscrupulous You are sure some of the moves [LION] just used during the wrestling training would not even be used by the most underhanded of hyenas, but he certainly came out on top. [LION] tried to throw sand in his wrestling partner’s eyes, but the other cub was too fast for him and defeated him. Sigh.

Pouncing

Female Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Awkward [LIONESS] was practicing her pouncing skills. When she spotted you, she suddenly crouched on the ground and crawled away. Cute. [LIONESS] jumps from one place to another with the strangest expression, forgetting what she was ordered to do.
Brutal In a flash of claws and teeth, [LIONESS] made short work of the feather toy you tossed. Stomping away, [LIONESS] mumbled something about sand in her eye.
Calm [LIONESS] waited a long time to pounce on anything, then put a lot of power into one great leap. [LIONESS] flubbed a leap and accidentally bruised her leg. She wasn’t angry about it at all, however. She’ll just try again tomorrow!
Cold [LIONESS] was supposed to leave the mouse alive so that other cubs could practice pouncing with it, but apparently today was not one of those merciful days. [LIONESS] didn’t care to leap around like an idiot today. She sat by the sidelines and watched, glaring at anyone who came near.
Cuddly Rah! [LIONESS] gave you a surprise hug by jumping out from behind you. [LIONESS] wanted to groom her pride-mates instead of landing on them.
Curious Shaking her butt vigorously, [LIONESS] pounced on an ant and squashed it to see how it looked. Ew. While getting ready to pounce on her mom’s tail, [LIONESS] noticed her pridemate and ran over to ask how they were doing.
Distant [LIONESS] pounced swiftly, pinning an unsuspecting butterfly with practiced ease. She let it go and watched quietly as it fluttered awkwardly away. [LIONESS] crouched, preparing to pounce upon a nearby companion. Someone else pounced first, though, and she decided to groom her paws instead.
Distrustful It took watching all the other cubs go first for [LIONESS] to give pouncing a try, but when she did she totally nailed it! Remembering that one time she face planted right into the ground when her prey scurried away at the last second, [LIONESS] wouldn't believe you when you said that wouldn't happen again and so she refused to even try
Down to Earth It took [LIONESS] a while to make her move, having decided to take things nice and easy, but she got the pounce done eventually and without even unnecessarily stressing the poor critter out. [LIONESS] saw that the small animal was getting upset and scared so she plopped her butt down and let it escape, feeling fine with a loss especially in a situation like this.
Emotional After throwing a bit of a tantrum earlier today, pouncing came easier when she put her anger into it! Not wanting to pounce today, [LIONESS] began to wail loudly and explain to her mother it was your fault. Oh man, you’re in trouble now
Evasive After refusing to do it for ten minutes by using every excuse in the books, [LIONESS] finally chased after that jerboa, surprising everyone else as she easily dodged every shrub and tree until she victoriously pounced on the creature. Not wanting to go through the effort of catching the quick jerboa, [LIONESS] feigned running into a tree a little too well. Ouch.
Focused [LIONESS] didn’t let anything distract her, and she finished each pounce in record time! Oops, [LIONESS] kept a close eye on her own paws instead of the obstacle in front of her. What a blunder!
Friendly [LIONESS] gleefully took to pouncing on as many locusts as she could. Her friends nearby had a lot of fun cheering her on! [LIONESS] pounced into a ditch. While you were rescuing her, she mentioned that you looked lovely today.
Gentle [LIONESS] pounced on a friend, then quickly asked to make sure she hadn’t hurt them. Rather than pounce on a nearby butterfly, [LIONESS] sat and watched it instead. The butterfly landed on her nose and made her giggle!
Graceful A feather drifted by on an errant breeze. [LIONESS] was quick to pounce on it, pinning it neatly beneath her paw. [LIONESS] was not ready for that zebra scrap you tossed at her. She missed it, and it hit another pridemate in the back of the head!
Gracious [LIONESS] pounced on a young rat, pinning it easily. After making sure it was unhurt, she let it go. [LIONESS] played hide ‘n’ pounce with some younger cubs. With the last one cornered, she pounced wide and missed, allowing the youngster to win.
Grumpy [LIONESS] rolled her eyes when you complimented her pouncing, but you could tell she was secretly pleased to hear your praise. [LIONESS] was unable to catch a single cricket during training and sulked about it all day.
Harsh You watch as [LIONESS] mercilessly pounces onto a grasshopper and then a beetle and then a few more bugs on top of that. Her paws must be so gross by now. Try as you might, you couldn't get [LIONESS]'s attention as she was just too busy gossiping about a bunch of the other cubs and how much they all sucked to realize that it was her turn.
Humorous [LIONESS] made a froggy “ribbit” noise with each effective pounce. Ribbit…ribbit….ribbit [LIONESS] decided that drawing naughty shapes in the sand was more fun than pouncing. Oh no, stop her!
Intrepid [LIONESS] decided to test her pouncing skills on a young cobra! Luckily, she stunned the snake and was able to get away unharmed. [LIONESS] leapt at you from nowhere! She hit you at an awkward angle and fell into the grass. Was that supposed to be a pounce?
Joyful Turning your back for a moment, you didn’t realize [LIONESS] was aiming for your tail and did a great pounce, all the while making you jump. [LIONESS] preferred to play with her own tail, spinning round and round until she fell over.
Laidback While others played, [LIONESS] hopped from one rock to another, humming cheerfully to herself and honing her skills. Her balance and timing are great! Another cub taunted [LIONESS] about her poor pouncing skills. She didn’t seem to mind!
Lazy [LIONESS] did a bit of a flop. Well, it almost looked like she pounced. [LIONESS] did more of a flop than a pounce, and ended up falling asleep.
Loud [LIONESS] was great during pouncing practice, but was all her bragging really necessary? [LIONESS] was too busy chatting with a friend to pay attention to her lesson.
Messy A pridemate was complaining about a half-eaten carcass left near the den. [LIONESS] pounced on them, and the complaints dissolved into surprised shrieks. [LIONESS] stalked a frog, and then pounced! She missed easily and landed in the mud instead.
Mischievous Finding herself in her element, [LIONESS] found it all too easy to pounce on today's target…and most of the other cubs too. Sigh. [LIONESS] found herself on the wrong side of mischief for once as a group of other cubs sabotaged her attempt in revenge for her many, many pranks.
Modest Each precise leap got [LIONESS] a nice pile of locusts to munch on. She didn’t think it was a big deal, but you feel proud. [LIONESS] flubbed a few leaps and wandered off, looking rather ashamed.
Needy [LIONESS] wouldn’t leave her mom alone and began to use her tail as pouncing practice. [LIONESS] clung to your paw, not wanting to be left by herself.
Nurturing Sneakily, [LIONESS] pounced on her pridemate to initiate a surprise grooming session. [LIONESS] was almost ready to pounce on her pridemate when she noticed they were a little tired. Purring, she approached them and began to lick the top of their head to reassure them.
Obedient [LIONESS] showed no hesitation as she pounced at a nearby bird you instructed her to catch, capturing it under her paws. You gave [LIONESS] tips on how to pounce more successfully and she tried them out on a bird in a low-hanging branch. She got so caught up in paw placement that she face planted into the tree when she jumped… Oops.
Proud No one else in the pride can catch a bird out of the air like [LIONESS] did during training. She makes absolutely sure everyone gets to know it, too. [LIONESS] missed an easy target earlier. She was too focused on that miss to try again today.
Prudent [LIONESS] carefully and quietly pounced from rock to rock without breaking her focus. [LIONESS] spent so much time calculating her pounce, the rest of cubs fell asleep from boredom.
Rebellious [LIONESS] gave you a bored look when you asked her to try pouncing on a nearby grasshopper. She looked, for a moment, like she wanted to walk away, but eventually she did as told and caught the insect underneath her paw. When you asked [LIONESS] to try to catch a nearby grasshopper, she turned up her nose at you!
Romantic [LIONESS] only chose to “accidentally” pounce on cute boys. Well, at least she’s pouncing. Before her lesson was about to begin, [LIONESS] snuck off with a flirty pride male. You made a mental note to go tell him off later.
Sarcastic [LIONESS] pounced on many locusts, then dryly commented that no, she really wouldn’t rather be doing something else besides squishing bugs. Squishing bugs is SO fun. No, it’s fine. [LIONESS] had no trouble today at all. None whatsoever. Falling face first into the dirt was TOTES on purpose.
Sassy [LIONESS] punctuated each of her leaps with a little squeaky noise. You went to tell her it was cute, and she agreed. Hell yeah she is. [LIONESS] snarled at the idea of pouncing all over bugs. She wanted nothing to do with that!
Secretive Quiet as a mouse, [LIONESS] scared another cub who was resting. [LIONESS] claimed that pouncing made her more visible, and that she didn’t want that.
Sinister [LIONESS] pounced on the feather bundle and ripped it into tiny shreds with a wicked glint in her eye. Missing the point entirely, [LIONESS] seemed to take more joy in tormenting the gerbil, than she did in pouncing at it.
Snarky [LIONESS] pounced on you, and smushed her paw into your face triumphantly. Oh please, [LIONESS] did not need to practice pouncing; she could catch you any day.
Soft [LIONESS] gracefully bounced around, landing softly on other pride-mates. [LIONESS] surprised someone on accident and decided she didn’t want to practice anymore.
Spontaneous [LIONESS] spent the whole time trying to catch a flying bug. [LIONESS] got very soggy when she landed in a puddle.
Stingy Grabbing everything wasn’t quite what anyone had in mind, but [LIONESS] got better at pouncing. [LIONESS] didn’t want to pounce, as it was a waste of her precious time.
Stubborn [LIONESS] was focused on her training, practicing her pounces until they all hit their marks. [LIONESS] was determined to skip her pouncing practice today, and slipped out of sight as soon as she could.
Timid No one had known that {LIONESS] didn’t like birds, but the jumping around she did at least taught her a lot. [LIONESS] saw the mouse move away and mewled in terror before running between your legs.
Trusting Upon catching many locusts, [LIONESS] told the other cubs that it was thanks to listening to all of your tips and tricks! Awww! It was time for pouncing practice, but [LIONESS] was nowhere to be seen. Apparently another cub told her that gold beetles could be found at the base of a rainbow, so she went to go look.
Unreliable [LIONESS] managed to find the motivation for a swift pounce! [LIONESS] crouched as if ready to pounce, but decided it would be more fun to roll in the long grass.
Upbeat Today, [LIONESS] caught a cricket! Perhaps tomorrow she will catch two! [LIONESS] was certain she’d be able to pin you with ease. Just not today.
Vain [LIONESS] successfully pounced upon her opponent, then requested to try again. You were impressed with her dedication until she said it was because she thought she could do a more flattering victory pose. [LIONESS] was unable to pin her opponent and gave up, shrieking about a broken claw.
Warm [LIONESS] leapt and grabbed the feather almost out of midair… then rubbed her face against it. So soft! She should have been pouncing on the feather, but [LIONESS] was far too busy admiring how fluffy and soft it was.
Wary [LIONESS] took a lot of time to prepare, but she was the only one to successfully pounce upon a young meerkat. [LIONESS] refused to pounce on a friend. It would be rude!

Male Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Arrogant After a nice win, [LION] crowed about how his pouncing form was unstoppable. [LION] refused to accept that he messed up the pounces. How dare mere insects question his prowess!
Bold [LION] lept over each obstacle with confidence. There was no slowing him down today! [LION] overshot one jump a little too far, and ended up head-over-tail in the dirt. Owchie.
Candid [LION] wasted no time to pounce in on the meerkat holes. Quick and efficient! [LION] admitted that it was his mistake for pouncing on your tail instead of the vine.
Chivalrous [LION] didn’t bother to hide or do any dirty tricks when he successfully nabbed the lizard for himself. [LION] nearly made a successful pounce, but he saw a classmate going for the same rodent, so he let them go first.
Confident You weren’t sure [LION] could make that giant leap, but he pulled it off! Nice job, little dude! [LION] brazenly tried to pounce over three logs! He was sure he could do it…but that must have bruised.
Even-Tempered [LION] grabbed each bouncing grasshopper with precision today. You feel pretty proud of him! [LION] tried out a new technique in pouncing on lizards, but it didn’t work out. He just shrugged and moved onto contemplating the next idea.
Forgiving [LION] pounced after hopping insects, and he successfully nailed several. He spent several minutes licking his paws afterwards. [LION] tried his best to clear each obstacle, but they were much too high for him to jump. It’s alright, though, he’ll just have to try harder next time!
Heartless [LION] cheerfully berated his classmates with delight after they all lost to him. After he failed the third pounce, [LION] turned around to claw angrily at the obstacle.
Humble [LION] claimed that his last few pounces were not his best, but you know better. [LION] wondered if he’ll ever be a good pouncer. You take a moment to assure him that he’s doing just fine so far.
Hyperactive [LION] lept even higher than he had to in order to clear each obstacle, and he still ran off afterwards! [LION] was leaping all over the place while he chased bugs - he failed to catch any, however.
Loner [LION] wasted no time in finishing his task, but he walked off afterwards muttering about conformists. After blundering into a rock, [LION] spent the a while glaring at everyone and growling about how nobody understands his pain.
Mysterious [LION] stared quietly at his targets for a moment, then suddenly completed all the pounces in rapid succession! Cool! You attempted to get [LION] to complete his task, but he was just quietly watching the clouds.
Patient [LION] took a moment to circle around all the obstacles before tackling the entire thing head-on. He did great! [LION] miscalculated while trying to pounce on grasshoppers, and twisted a paw. He just sorta sighed and sat down to rest.
Self-Absorbed [LION] gleefully pounced through all the obstacles, eager to win admiration and get into the limelight! [LION] grimaced at his loss, and spent the trip home complaining about the winner and how they got an unfair advantage.
Unscrupulous [LION] tried everything he could think of to get over each obstacle - even if it meant knocking some down. Is that cheating? [LION] attempted to cheat and crawl under a log instead of jump over it, but you caught him in the act. Hah.

Awkward [LIONESS] started chasing you. You stood your ground and watched as she approached. She poked your nose and ran away. You proposed a race to [LIONESS] to see who is faster but she insisted on instead telling you about that one time you snorted a beetle up your nose, and it was funny, and she tried inhaling a beetle except it wasn’t a beetle. A long silence followed.
Brutal [LIONESS] flexed her claws and snarled before racing around the rock pile in record time. Shaking the dirt off her back, [LIONESS] roared and snapped at the pridemate who tripped her.
Calm [LIONESS] proved that oftentimes, just keeping a steady pace really DOES win you the race! She left the other cubs behind when they got tired and slowed down. [LIONESS] kept a really nice pace today, but it seemed she simply wasn’t going fast enough to keep up.
Cold [LIONESS] won the race easily today. She couldn’t help but snicker at the tears of one of the losing cubs. [LIONESS] spent a bit too much time hissing at her classmates and not enough time actually running. Oh well.
Cuddly Wait? Where did [LIONESS] go? Oh, she chased down a mouse for a friend. [LIONESS] tripped, and it took many snuggles to assure her that she was fine.
Curious [LIONESS] ran after a butterfly, determined to catch it to see what they taste like. While running after a butterfly, [LIONESS] stopped when she noticed a hedgehog and began to poke it.
Distant [LIONESS] batted around an empty turtle shell, chasing it back and forth around the den, practicing on her own. While the others ran and played, [LIONESS] sat and watched, never asking if she could join in.
Distrustful Because she was way too cautious in her approach, you took it easy on [LIONESS] so she could catch you. Hopefully she won't find out… Before the two of you began, you warned [LIONESS] to be careful near the rocks as they're slippery. Apparently she didn't believe you and thought you were trying to get an advantage. Maybe she won't make that mistake again now, after you had to fish her soaking wet form out of the water.
Down to Earth Approaching the race with a clear head and some foresight, [LIONESS] won easily enough, having taken the time to figure out the best way to run the course. Despite her best efforts, [LIONESS] lost to her opponent who was just too fast for her. She said that it's okay though and that her opponent did a really good job.
Emotional Staying focused, [LIONESS] ran after a grasshopper and was able to successfully catch it. Good cub! Not able to catch the fast hare, [LIONESS] got angry and started smashing the nearest ant hills with her paws while screaming at the top of her lungs.
Evasive [LIONESS]’s face was too innocent as she slid past the finish line a great deal in front of her opponent. You caught her giving something to the other cub afterwards, but both claimed that she won fair and square so there's nothing you can do. Without taking a single breath of air, [LIONESS] rapidly listed off the many reasons for why she couldn't do the race today. Well, at least one part of her body was moving fast.
Focused Once [LIONESS] gets going, there is no stopping her! Her opponent was left in the dust. [LIONESS] was trying so hard to catch up that she flubbed her leap over a hole in the ground. Ouch.
Friendly Today all the cubs put on a harrowing race. [LIONESS] won, but she took the time to tell the other cubs that they did great as well. [LIONESS] was having so fun joking around and playing with the other cubs that she missed the start of the chase. Oh well.
Gentle [LIONESS] volunteered to look after some younger cubs and spent all afternoon chasing them around. An older pride member wasn’t feeling well, so [LIONESS] snuggled with them rather than joining others in a game of chase.
Graceful A hare ran by! Before you could blink, [LIONESS] had given chase, tracking the mad dash of the hare with ease. [LIONESS] wandered after a young gazelle at a slow, peaceful walk, having no desire to exert herself.
Gracious You challenged [LIONESS] to a race and she beat you by a mile! As you tried to catch your breath afterwards, she gently licked your cheek. [LIONESS] gave up pursuit of an impala after only a few steps, recognizing that it was far faster than she was today.
Grumpy A pridemate watched [LIONESS] successfully chase and corner an impala calf and was quite impressed with her skill. [LIONESS] spent more time complaining about having to run than actually running.
Harsh You overheard [LIONESS] slinging insults about the other cub's mother like how much she weighed and how ugly she was, distracting them enough to catch them. Wait…aren't they from the same litter? [LIONESS] refused to chase after the cub acting as prey today, stating that they were beneath her and weren't even close to being worthy of her time. Wow.
Humorous Upon her victory, [LIONESS] threw her paws into the air and triumphantly yelled “GOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLL!!!!!” [LIONESS] dramatically flopped over and declared that she was dying of effort. TRULY. DYING. She apparently can only be revived with snacks now.
Intrepid A group of young zebra raced across the plains. Wait. Was that [LIONESS] running with them? It was! [LIONESS] challenged a cheetah to a race. Huh. You’d never seen someone lose so badly before.
Joyful While chasing a tiny frog, [LIONESS] was smiling and enjoying her surroundings. Instead of chasing, [LIONESS] skipped around with a cute smile on her face. Aww.
Laidback You challenged [LIONESS] to a race and lost! When did she get so fast? [LIONESS] convinced other cubs to join her in a nap in the sun rather than attend a lesson.
Lazy While [LIONESS] was chasing her pridemate, she stopped halfway for a quick nap. Well, at least she got some exercise. [LIONESS] sat down and stared at you. Yeah, there was no way she was going to chase anything.
Loud Staying focused, [LIONESS] ran after a grasshopper and was able to successfully catch it. Good cub! Not able to catch the fast hare, [LIONESS] got angry and started smashing the nearest ant hills with her paws while screaming at the top of her lungs.
Messy A rainstorm has left mud puddles everywhere. [LIONESS] raced ahead of the younger cubs to get there first! You paused to admire [LIONESS] running gracefully in pursuit of a gazelle. Until she tripped and got a face full of dirt. Ouch.
Mischievous The cub that [LIONESS] was chasing let out a startled cry and fell through a previously hidden hole in the ground, making it all too easy to catch her "prey". She looked far too innocent. You changed up the course when it was [LIONESS]'s turn so she couldn't cheat. Afterwards, she sulked and stuck her tongue out at you, declaring you a “big meanie”. You’re also sure you heard her mumbling under her breath…now you don’t exactly feel safe.
Modest It took some effort but [LIONESS] managed to win the race with her own skill alone. She looked rather shy when you congratulated her. [LIONESS] ended up sleeping in instead of joining in the training today. She looked rather embarrassed about it - sleeping past dawn was likely an accident.
Needy [LIONESS] saw a butterfly and needed you to talk her through how to catch it. While chasing a mouse, [LIONESS] looked up constantly to see where you were and ended up losing the trail.
Nurturing [LIONESS] initiated a race with her mother and won - her self-proposed reward was an hour of cuddles. [LIONESS] was enthusiastic about the race at first until she noticed her pridemate had a thorn stuck in their paw. Concerned, she went back to help them remove it and coax them to a safe spot in the shade to rest.
Obedient You told [LIONESS] to run a few laps around the pridelands to improve her speed. Before you could even finish your sentence, she zoomed off. You tried to explain to [LIONESS] that you wanted her to do short sprints to improve her speed but she was so eager to fulfill orders that she overdid it and got a muscle cramp.
Proud You praised [LIONESS] for her quick pursuit of a hare, and she beamed with pleasure. [LIONESS] was convinced she is the slowest of all her companions, and didn’t want to play chase with them.
Prudent After some intense staring and mumbling about velocity, [LIONESS] navigated the course in record time! [LIONESS] keeps insisting this course is not practical. She starts drawing plans for a new route in the sand.
Rebellious Whining all the way through, [LIONESS] managed to chase pesky rodents out of your den, as you asked her to! [LIONESS] in complete silence turned her back against you, sat down and started to lick her foot. No training today, apparently.
Romantic [LIONESS] was mostly motivated in chasing boys, but at least she was exercising. Good cub? While chasing one of her pridemates, [LIONESS] stopped to flirt with one of her brothers. Wait, what?
Sarcastic Although she was the winner of the race, [LIONESS] had more fun talking about how she is DYING now. All this work will make her starve, for realsies. Oh great. More running. Everyone LOVES running. [LIONESS] appeared to be very into running today, and no amount of trying to convince her to get going worked.
Secretive Catching a cub who was running was very easy for [LIONESS], but she wouldn’t tell you why that was. [LIONESS] was more interested in something she wouldn’t share.
Sinister With an evil chuckle [LIONESS] joked about skinning any pridemate who tried to pass her. Was she being serious? You never see [LIONESS] cross the finish line. After a bit of searching you find her watching ants devour a dead rat. Ewww…
Snarky As [LIONESS] dashed past you, you could hear her compare your speed to a giant tortoise. How rude! [LIONESS] just couldn’t catch you, and resorted to calling you names, instead.
Soft [LIONESS] ran into the distance, and came back with a live mouse, asking to keep it. While running, [LIONESS] hurt her paw.
Spontaneous While running, [LIONESS] decided to split off and ambush her ‘prey’. Even though she made a good attempt, [LIONESS] tripped and got a mouth full of dirt.
Stingy While [LIONESS] wasn’t running after her pridemate, at least she ran back to the den quickly. No one had stolen her spot. Apparently [LIONESS]’s snack was at too much risk to run around.
Stubborn Chasing the other cubs, [LIONESS] was full of resolve to come out as the best of them. She kept running even after all the others had to stop for a rest. [LIONESS] thought the other cubs focused too much on her during the chasing, and she refused to continue, proclaiming it unfair.
Timid [LIONESS] ran away from the other cubs instead of towards them, but she ran fast. [LIONESS]’s legs shook at the idea of chasing another cub down, and she couldn’t run with shaky legs.
Trusting [LIONESS] got dust in her eyes during a race, but she believed in herself and kept charging ahead anyways! You mistakenly told [LIONESS] that the race course curved to the left instead of the right. She took your word for it. Oops.
Unreliable You bounded past [LIONESS], tempting her to give chase! [LIONESS] began to chase you, but this game got boring to her, and she quickly slowed down.
Upbeat First one to the den got to stay up later than the others! Oh, hey, [LIONESS] won! In a race to the den, [LIONESS] finished last. She was admiring the scenery along the way!
Vain [LIONESS] ran a bit funny, tossing her head as if striking a pose, but at least she was fast. [LIONESS] refused to chase a hare. She said she only runs just before sunset, as the lighting at that time of day makes her look better.
Warm [LIONESS] chased you down easily, but assured you that you were still big and b. [LIONESS] didn’t mind not catching you this time, she’ll get cuddles off you later.
Wary [LIONESS] was not fond of running, but was actually quite fast once she got going! [LIONESS] did not want to run today; what if she fell and hurt her leg?

Male Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Arrogant [LION] mocked the classmates that he outran. Why should they even bother to come back and train against him tomorrow? What fools. [LION] snarled at everyone after he was unable to catch up. He insisted it was just a fluke. A stroke of luck!
Bold [LION] took a shortcut through a dark, scary cave while he was chasing you down. He gave you a mini heart attack when he lept on your back from out of nowhere! [LION] attempted to dive after the fleeing hare and ended up in the river. Oops.
Candid [LION] put on a burst of speed and snagged a lizard in his teeth. He gleefully snacked on it from there. [LIONESS] failed to catch the bird himself, so he gave tips to his classmates instead.
Chivalrous [LION] raced and gave his best, eventually managing to squeak in a magnificent and honorable victory! He grinned with pride. [LION] was racing a classmate who hadn’t won in forever. He decided to let the other cub taste victory for once.
Confident [LION] deserved a bit of pride after the way he charged after that rabbit. Nicely done. [LION] probably should have known that there was no way he could catch that small bird…but no harm in trying.
Even-Tempered [LION] kept focused on his breathing and running technique as he charged ahead in a race, and he seemed a bit baffled when he realized he crossed the finishing mark first. [LION] didn’t really feel like competing today, so he just sort of trotted behind his classmates.
Forgiving [LION] charged after the rat and caught up successfully. He happily offered you the snack when he returned. [LION] got tripped by a classmate while racing. He’s not angry, though - it’s a part of the game, after all.
Heartless Without even a moment of hesitation, [LION] shoulder-checked a classmate to get ahead in the chase. [LION] seemed to accept defeat today - although, he began to spread some nasty rumors about the victor…
Humble [LION] graciously encouraged his classmates to try again next time after he out-chased them all. [LION] wasn’t able to run very fast today, but he kept his frustration to himself.
Hyperactive NYOOOOOM!! [LION] easily left all of his classmates behind in the dust in a race. There he went. Bye. [LION] had the speed and enthusiasm down pat, but the grace….not so much. A tumble over a log put him out of the race.
Loner Although he tried to hide it, you still noticed [LION]’s triumphant grin after he won the race. He tried to cover it with a glare but you know better. [LION] murmured something about being “swift as a shadow” but he didn’t manage to pull it off. Poor little guy.
Mysterious [LION] claimed victory and wandered off without a word. Another cub whispered in delight at how cool he was. Alright [LION], time for some running! Wait…where on Earth did he go?
Patient You weren’t expecting [LION] to pull off a calculated win while racing other cubs, but it seemed he was watching them for a good while to get an idea on how to keep up. Nice! [LION] ended up casually meandering instead of actively trying to compete. Seemed his heart just wasn’t in it.
Self-Absorbed [LION] glowed with the praise he got for successfully chasing down that rabbit. He’s quite pleased to be noticed. [LION] was irrationally annoyed that he tripped. He insisted it wasn’t his lack of ability - clearly the other cub he was racing cheated somehow!
Unscrupulous [LION] charged ahead immediately, and he made sure to scatter some spiny seeds in his wake. Ouchie. [LION] attempted to scatter cactus behind him as he ran, but he accidentally got its spines stuck in his own paws and ended up limping back to you. Welp.

Climbing

Female Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Awkward [LIONESS] did a phenomenal job getting up that tree. If only they noticed the little bit of mud stuck to their butt beforehand…the other cubs couldn’t help but snicker. [LIONESS] just couldn’t quite manage herself today. She kept slipping and tripping over even the smallest rocks while attempting to scale a small cliff. Perhaps it would be best to just call it a day and eat some snacks.
Brutal Leaving deep gashes in the old baobab tree, [LIONESS] made it to the top in three bounds. [LIONESS] scaled the tree with a bit too much enthusiasm and slipped from a broken branch. Ouch.
Calm Although being up so high in the tree made her heart race, [LIONESS] kept her head together and focused as she climbed. [LIONESS] took a fall while climbing and got stuck in a branch with nothing else to grab onto. Luckily she wasn’t panicking, so rescuing her was easy.
Cold It seemed [LIONESS] has been keeping her tiny claws nice and sharp. She scaled the tree easily! [LIONESS] slipped off a branch and took a tumble. She hissed at you when you went to go help her back up.
Cuddly [LIONESS] scrambled to the top to give baths in the sun. A pride mate thought that [LIONESS] looked dirty, and wanted to give her a bath. She didn’t object.
Curious [LIONESS] got halfway up the tree before she paused and began to ask you about the shadowy place. [LIONESS] got distracted by the amount of beetles flying around the tree, and started asking you which one you liked best.
Distant You approached your favorite napping rock, only to find [LIONESS] had already climbed up there and was sleeping soundly. [LIONESS] eyed the tree and prepared to climb, only to lose her nerve and back away without trying.
Distrustful Using reverse psychology, you told [LIONESS] the opposite of what you really wanted to say and so she climbed up the wall with relative ease. Half-way up the wall, [LIONESS] froze up and couldn't move up or down. It took half an hour of cajoling and reassuring her that you'd catch her to get her to let go. Thankfully you caught her…
Down to Earth Remembering her mother's wise words of "slow and steady wins the race", [LIONESS] figured it was even better advice for climbing so she took her time to carefully and securely hoist herself up the tree. [LIONESS]'s hind claws slipped half way up the tree, causing her to lose her grip and fall down. She was a little sore afterward, but she insisted that she’d be okay and that she'll learn from her mistake.
Emotional Climbing is easy when you have claws! [LIONESS] clung to the tree and swung in the heavy breeze, laughing hysterically. Unable to get to the top branch, [LIONESS] felt she had failed the task and fell down in a heap of crying cub mess.
Evasive Much to your surprise, [LIONESS] didn't try to get out of the activity today, completing it with relative ease. She wouldn't tell you why, though. [LIONESS] sidled up to you and informed you that she's afraid of heights. Before you could say anything in response, she warned you that if you made her do something that scary, she'd tell her mother on you. You had no choice but to let her skip the activity.
Focused With careful paw placement and a great deal of patience, [LIONESS] scaled the entire wall by herself! it was time to scale the wall! Except [LIONESS] was trying way too hard to catch a bug. You failed to get her attention.
Friendly [LIONESS] climbed up a tree to knock down a fruit for her friends to play with! [LIONESS] climbed a tree to look for her friends and got stuck!
Gentle [LIONESS] climbed atop an elephant skull and giggled. She was as tall as you! [LIONESS] decided to stay and cuddle with some newborn cubs rather than go climbing rocks with everyone else.
Graceful Another cub was stuck up an acacia tree! The pride gathered, wondering what to do, when [LIONESS] pushed through the crowd and climbed swiftly up to the rescue! [LIONESS] promised to fetch you a fresh egg from a nearby nest. Halfway up, she disturbed a hornet’s nest and fell from the tree. At least she landed on her feet?
Gracious [LIONESS] slowly climbed a large rock, assisting an older pride member so that they could sunbathe at the top together. [LIONESS] found a carcass stored up a tree. She couldn’t see a leopard, but she could smell one, and decided not to risk climbing up for the meal.
Grumpy [LIONESS] thought climbing was stupid and saw no reason she had to practice it, but she was quite good at it once she actually tried. [LIONESS] thought climbing was stupid, and nothing you said could convince her otherwise.
Harsh [LIONESS] had a hard time climbing the wall, but she finished it all by herself anyway only to turn around and act like it was the easiest thing ever. Turning her nose up at it, [LIONESS] refused to do the climbing activity today, claiming that it was stupid and that whoever came up with the idea clearly lacked even two braincells to rub together. Okay, wow, that hurt a little…
Humorous [LIONESS] made up a song about “100 cubs on the wall” while she scaled the small cliff….and now she’s still singing it. [LIONESS] was having more fun dramatically narrating her own actions instead of actually climbing to the top.
Intrepid A rotting elephant carcass proved to be more of a challenge to climb than [LIONESS] thought, but she made it! [LIONESS] tried to climb higher than all the others, but quickly discovered the branches near the top of the tree were very weak.
Joyful [LIONESS] climbed the tree quickly, sitting on a branch at the top. You could tell she was really enjoying the cool breeze through her fur. While climbing, [LIONESS] thought it would be fun to jump down on top of you. As she landed on your face, she laughed hysterically.
Laidback [LIONESS] successfully clawed her way up to a large tree branch and described for you all the animals she could see from her new vantage point. [LIONESS] fell out of a tree she was climbing and landed on her back. She laughed and said she preferred the view from down there anyway.
Lazy [LIONESS] took a little longer to climb the tree than the others, but hey, at least she did it! Staring up at the tree, [LIONESS] dug her claws into the bark. Yep, that’s enough for one day.
Loud You heard [LIONESS] giving herself a pep talk as she prepared herself before climbing a tall tree. [LIONESS] was too busy telling a story about a lion and the stars to take her turn climbing a rock.
Messy [LIONESS] shimmied up an old, dry tree, showering the ground with bits of dry bark and twigs. [LIONESS] tried to store a carcass up a tree, the way she’s seen a leopard do, but she slipped on a bit of intestine and crashed to the ground.
Mischievous [LIONESS] easily made the climb only to stay up for a time to gleefully taunt the other cubs who were struggling by placing her paws over theirs with a toothy smirk and a few choice pieces of dialogue said in a mocking tone. After looking downright cocky all day, [LIONESS] took her place, prepared to climb up that tree…only to go flying as her hidden contraption designed to make it easy for her backfired. All the other cubs laughed at her and you had a hard time getting them back under control. She looked devastated, but maybe now she'll learn cheating isn't worth it.
Modest [LIONESS] really nailed tree-climbing today. She simply gave you a sweet smile each time you brought up how awesome she did today. [LIONESS] took a couple of falls trying to climb a tree today. She just sighed and figured she’d do better next time.
Needy [LIONESS] squeaked at you every 5 seconds for you to see how far up the tree she was. [LIONESS] didn’t want to leave your side, and instead just sat next to you for the entire training session.
Nurturing [LIONESS] climbed the big tree and noticed a pridemate at the bottom too frightened to climb. She descended the tree and gently encouraged them by saying that they'd get good at it one day, too - complete with cuddles. [LIONESS] was going to climb the Baobab tree until she realized a nearby bird had made a nest with tiny eggs in its branches. Not wanting to disturb the nest, she refused to climb.
Obedient You asked [LIONESS] to climb the tree nearby the den. She immediately climbed the tree, using the tips you gave her. [LIONESS] obediently climbed the tree when you asked her to, but then paused, waiting for you to tell her to come back down. Before you could instruct her to come back down, the branch snapped and she fell from her perch.
Proud You offered to give climbing tips to [LIONESS], but she swiftly climbed a tree in front of you and smirked. Maybe YOU needed the tips? [LIONESS] broke a claw trying to climb a small tree. It stung, but she pretended she was fine and went to take a nap rather than try again.
Prudent While not the fastest, [LIONESS] scaled the baobab without missing a single branch. [LIONESS] explains over and over again why climbing such an old tree is a terrible idea. Okay, she can sit this one out.
Rebellious You asked [LIONESS] to move over to the shade so she could cool off. She huffed at you but eventually climbed up a very high tree to cool off on the branches when she thought you weren’t looking. You asked [LIONESS] to practice climbing with the other cubs but she did not feel like it.
Romantic [LIONESS] had a habit of climbing around on your back, commenting on how lovely your fur was. While lying around on your back, [LIONESS] sighed and told you about her dream of a handsome lion rescuing her from a cave and carrying her off into the sunset.
Sarcastic Oh no, the tree was too tall. There was clearly no way that [LIONESS] could get up there. Or so she said, as she sat cheerfully in the canopy. Nah, it’s fine. [LIONESS] meant to fall butt-first out of a tree and into an anthill. It was hilarious for everyone involved. She LIKES it when everyone laughs at her. Totes.
Secretive [LIONESS] enjoyed being able to think about ‘things’ and watch everything. [LIONESS] said that there was more to look at down here, giving no other reason.
Sinister [LIONESS] dashed to the top of the rock pile, then began pushing small stones over the edge to stop her opponents from getting any higher. [LIONESS] got distracted by a viper crawling through the rock pile. You heard her muttering something about wanting to keep it.
Snarky [LIONESS] scrambled her way up the rocks, looking down at you with a superior expression. [LIONESS] glared at you from the ground. Climbing is for baby cubs.
Soft [LIONESS] took an exceptionally long time to climb, as she wanted to leave grooves for the other cubs. [LIONESS] didn’t want to fall onto someone.
Spontaneous [LIONESS] decided to grab a loose branch, but it worked and she got to the top of the tree. She was supposed to climb from a lioness’s paws to their head, but [LIONESS] tried to climb the wrong end.
Stingy At first [LIONESS] didn’t want to climb, but then she saw a pretty feather, and who could say no to that? [LIONESS] didn’t want to climb because she found a cool feather, and the wind could take it before she got back.
Stubborn Not wanting to be left behind, [LIONESS] worked hard to climb the rocky outcropping you had picked for today’s training, then refused to move from the high spot she had conquered. [LIONESS] was nowhere to be found during the climbing training. She didn’t show her face until long after it was over.
Timid How [LIONESS] climbed that quickly is a mystery, but you are sure it was out of fear. [LIONESS] didn’t get too high up before she looked down and got scared of falling, and you had to help her back down.
Trusting [LIONESS] was afraid of heights, but you told her that you’d catch her if she fell. Suddenly full of confidence, she went right up that tree! You told [LIONESS] that the rickety old branch on the tree would be fine to use. It wasn’t. Crap.
Unreliable LIONESS] seemed to find something of interest, and clawed her way up to inspect it. After a few attempts at climbing, [LIONESS] gave up and wandered off, bored.
Upbeat [LIONESS] hummed cheerfully to herself, climbing a large rock with ease. [LIONESS] eyed the tree she was supposed to climb, but decided to play with a dung beetle instead.
Vain [LIONESS] had no interest in climbing until you told her that you thought she would look magnificent posing at the top of a large rock. And she did! [LIONESS] just had no time for climbing. She had to groom her fur, clean her claws and get her beauty sleep.
Warm Another cub had somehow managed to get stuck atop a huge rock, and [LIONESS] clawed her way up to rescue them. [LIONESS] could have done some climbing, but she would much rather sit and cuddle into you.
Wary [LIONESS] only climbed up the rock to sit next to you after you assured her the scorpion she’d seen earlier was gone. [LIONESS] started to climb a rock but was startled by a spider. No climbing today, thanks!

Male Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Arrogant [LION] climbed up the small cliff and grinned triumphantly. It always felt great to be on top. [LION] was sure that someone else smoothed out the wall or made it slick somehow. It was the only explanation for why he failed!
Bold While scaling a steep wall, [LION] managed to make a scary leap from one rock to another! Score! [LION] flubbed a high jump while trying to get up a small cliff. It took him a while to shake the dirt off.
Candid [LION] did an impeccable job scaling that steep little cliff. He didn’t bother with any fancy technique - he just picked a spot and went! [LION] struggled to keep a hold onto the small cliff wall, and he slipped eventually. He sheepishly stated he needs more practice.
Chivalrous [LION]'s training was successful! [LION]'s training was unfortunately unsuccessful. Oh well, better luck tomorrow..
Confident [LION] claimed that he was the best of the best at climbing. Today, he backed that up. [LION] accidentally slipped off the cliff face and ended up clinging for his life on a tiny branch. He wasn’t terrified, at least.
Even-Tempered It turns out that [LION] was pretty damn good at climbing when he got over any fear of heights! [LION] did a pretty okay job at climbing, until he accidentally stuck his paw into a spiny branch. It hurt quite a bit, but he kept a brave face.
Forgiving The small cliff was a tough climb, but [LION] managed it! He gave some helpful tips to a classmate while he was up there. Another cub tried to make fun of [LION] for falling during his climb, but he just smiled and said he’ll do better in the future.
Heartless After [LION] got to the top of the wall, he began having fun flinging pebbles and dirt at his classmates below. [LION] couldn’t manage to get anywhere today, so he took his frustration out on a nearby bush. Poor plant.
Humble [LION] gave everyone a gentle smile in response to his success. You just want to hug him now. [LION] spent some time assuring you that his inability to climb halfway up had nothing to do with your training ability.
Hyperactive [LION] scrambled clumsily up the wall, but it worked out pretty well in the end. He managed it! [LION] did a good job rapidly getting up the wall, but he paid for his lack of care when he tumbled his way back down.
Loner [LION] was determined to show his classmates that he wasn’t useless today. He scrambled up the wall and grinned - he showed them! [LION] seems to be having an off day. He slipped and fell in the mud, and simply walked off in shame.
Mysterious [LION] seemingly took some time to investigate the wall, but then his climbing was successful! You have no idea why [LION] is stacking rocks in intricate patterns, but it certainly has nothing to do with climbing.
Patient [LION] took the time to carefully place each paw as he scaled a tricky hill. It was a damn impressive climb in the end! [LION] was trying hard to be careful, but he ended up just getting tired as he clung to the small cliff face. Time for a rescue.
Self-Absorbed [LION] liked how everyone watched while he scaled the small cliffside. He made sure to pose and roar at the top in victory! After he got caught trying to cheat with tree sap, [LION] complained angrily that it wasn’t fair to him - the other cubs were cheating too!
Unscrupulous - [LION] didn’t quite climb up in the fastest amount of time, but he left animal fat on the ledges behind him, so his classmates did even worse. [LION] spent too much time trying to smear tree sap on the hill and not enough time actually competing. Good job.

Stalking

Female Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Awkward With a little wiggle, [LIONESS] leapt from her crouch, stumbled, and dove headfirst into a polecat. Yay? You watched as [LIONESS] tried to stalk toward an unaware polecat but, to your horror, she let out a fart, startling the polecat into darting away. Uh. Oops.
Brutal With cold efficiency, [LIONESS] quickly made her way out of the burrow with a meerkat pup in her jaws. [LIONESS] roared and scared all the meerkats from the training area. It took you forever to round them all back up again.
Calm [LIONESS] hides in tall grass as she watches the other cubs playing without making a sound. She takes in every sight and sound. [LIONESS] Loses interest in stalking her fellow cubs and goes to groom herself instead.
Cold Quiet as the night and as still as ice, [LIONESS] snuck up on a game bird and took it down. She was pretty pleased to have a snack all to herself. [LIONESS]’s target heard her coming and ran off. She just huffed at you in response and stalked away.
Cuddly [LIONESS] thought it was nice to watch animals in their day-to-day lives It was a good attempt, but [LIONESS] ended up napping next to you instead.
Curious Finding a quiet spot, [LIONESS] stalked a small gecko she had never seen before and was curious about what it would taste like. While stalking a gecko, [LIONESS] found a meerkat den and decided to check it out.
Distant [LIONESS] moved quite silently in her pursuit of a rat. Even you hardly noticed her. You heard a sound and turned to see [LIONESS] approaching. She halted, then backed away and vanished into the grass
Distrustful [LIONESS] didn't listen to your suggestion of what to stalk and decided instead to stalk one of the other cubs who was way too distracted to notice…that is until she pounced on them. You failed to pay attention to what kind of bug you sent [LIONESS] after and it was far too late to do anything by the time you recognized it for what it was, so you were forced to watch in dismay as the poor cub was sprayed by a stink bug. She's never going to trust you again.
Down to Earth Taking her time, [LIONESS] was able to silently creep real close up to the target rat before she lazily lifted a paw to poke it in the butt as her way of "catching" it. Although she got off to a great start, [LIONESS] didn't quite lift her paw up high enough and managed to snap a small twig. The rat she had been stalking was instantly alerted and off it ran. She was a little disappointed in herself, but she was able to shrug it off.
Emotional The stalking lesson today went well! [LIONESS] was so proud of herself she started crying. At least it’s happy tears? [LIONESS] found a big mud puddle and decided you’d look good with a muddy mane rather than do her stalking lesson for the day.
Evasive With a smile on her face, [LIONESS] paid rapt attention to the grasshopper, stepping carefully as she observed it closely, almost as if she was trying to learn its secrets. With her tail twitching in barely controlled excitement, [LIONESS] became overeager while stalking the grasshopper which quickly hopped away once it noticed she was there.
Focused You didn’t hear [LIONESS] come up behind you at all. You’re impressed with her planning and care. [LIONESS] was trying so hard to keep each step silent that she didn’t notice that her target had run off. Oh well.
Friendly [LIONESS] managed to sneak up on an entire rabbit! She happily shared some with the other cubs. [LIONESS] was doing a great job sneaking after her target…until one of her friends mentioned her name and she bounded over to see what was going on.
Gentle [LIONESS] crept quietly up to a sleeping pride member and gently reached out to tap their nose. Boop! [LIONESS] was startled by a passing hornbill and gasped, startling the jerboa she was stalking.
Graceful [LIONESS] stalked a zebra, slipping through the grass as easily as if she were nothing more than a gentle breeze. [LIONESS] politely declined the invitation to watch the impala herd. She had other things to do.
Gracious [LIONESS] successfully stalked and killed a hare. When you praised her, she smiled and let you have the hare! [LIONESS] stalked a wildebeest, but stepped on a thorn and yowled in surprise, startling her prey.
Grumpy [LIONESS] practiced stalking with a group. Her teammates annoyed her, but they did very well as a group when tested. Stalking requires patience, and [LIONESS] just didn’t have any today. Each attempt was a disaster! Maybe next time?
Harsh Seemingly easily enough, [LIONESS] did a good job with the stalking exercise today. Before you could congratulate her and give her praise for a job well done, she went all the way and roughly pounced on the gerbil with too much force, making its insides its outsides. She only shrugged when a few other cubs got sick at the sight. With a roll of her eyes and an exasperated sigh, [LIONESS] turned her back on you and started walking back home, saying this day was for losers, not for her.
Humorous [LIONESS] pretended to be a snake, tongue-flicking included. It…actually worked? [LIONESS] got something smelly on you before the training, and her snickers stopped her from being sneaky at all.
Intrepid You watched as [LIONESS] crept quietly up to a sleeping pridemate, took the rib bone they had been chewing on, and slunk back off to her own sleeping spot. How sneaky! You woke up when you heard a twig snap, and saw [LIONESS] trying to sneak up on you. She was carrying a feather. Oh, no. Your fur did not need “decorating”, thanks!
Joyful [LIONESS] did well and stayed super quiet while stalking, a smile always seen on her face. What a cute cub. While getting ready for her turn to practice stalking, [LIONESS] shook with happiness and got so excited that she forgot what she was excited about.
Laidback [LIONESS] slowly stalked an older pridemate, pausing and pretending to nap every time she was spotted. It took ages, but she did get close enough to take a few bites of her elder’s dinner! A bird spotted [LIONESS] stalking a meerkat and let out an alarm call. The meerkat and other nearby prey quickly fled.
Lazy [LIONESS] started to stalk a mouse, but then realized it was too much effort. At least she tried. [LIONESS] stumbled through the grass making tons of noise and scared everything away.
Loud It was a real struggle for [LIONESS] to keep quiet while stalking a meerkat, but she did it! Afterwards, she enjoyed telling you all about it. In vivid detail. All the nearby prey was scared off by [LIONESS] and her excited giggles.
Messy Hey, during this training session, you found out that being covered in mud helped to mask [LIONESS]’s scent while hunting! [LIONESS] had found a nice bush to hide in while stalking her prey! Too bad a bunch of ants liked that bush too.
Mischievous You shouldn’t have been surprised, but you were as you witnessed [LIONESS]'s cunning nature come into play today in the form of patience as she stalked her prey all the way to success. Following a beetle too intently, [LIONESS] wandered off from the rest of the group when you weren't looking only to come running back with an angry wildebeest bull chasing after her. You jumped into action and scared off the beast, but [LIONESS] was understandably too shaken up to continue today.
Modest [LIONESS] kept to herself and kept quiet, and that brought her success in stalking a mouse. Nicely done! [LIONESS] accidentally stepped on a stick while sneaking, and her prey dashed away. She tried to tell you that she was the worst at this, obviously, but you assured her that she is doing just fine overall.
Needy [LIONESS] constantly looked back at you, asking for approval on her stalking technique. When she realized she had strayed from the pride, [LIONESS] gave up on stalking and returned to your side.
Nurturing Just when you thought you were safe, [LIONESS] stalked you down in the middle of your evening patrol and demanded that you let her groom away that cowlick in your mane, all in the name of "training". Sigh. [LIONESS] spent an hour stalking a herd of gazelle with her pridemates when she noticed a fawn within the herd's folds. She suddenly broke rank and split the herd up to keep the fawn safe. Her pridemates were less than thrilled with her protest.
Obedient You absent-mindedly told [LIONESS] to find every meerkat in a neighboring colony as her training for today. She returned a few hours later from her stalking training to report the exact number of meerkats. You told [LIONESS] to spend a few hours stalking something of interest and report back without getting caught. Taking your orders too literally, she returned a few hours later to report on a cute bee’s movements among flowers.
Proud [LIONESS] managed to stalk right up to a nervous mother bird sitting on its nest. No one else had been able to do that! [LIONESS] would rather go play with the younger cubs than have anyone witness her practicing.
Prudent [LIONESS] kept her focus on each movement of her body, which allowed her extra silence and netted her a tasty gerbil to crunch on. Sneaking typically works much better if you don’t lose track of your prey while plotting out where to sneak from. [LIONESS] will learn that someday.
Rebellious Although crawling through a fox hole to better sneak up on her target was unconventional, it still certainly worked. You wish you could fit through those still. [LIONESS] insisted she was still full from lunch, and she didn’t want to do anything. Even though you spotted her cheerfully playing later….ugh.
Romantic [LIONESS] peered behind some bushes and watched the pride males enjoying their time in the sun. That’s stalking, right? [LIONESS] was about to start stalking when she turned to you and asked where cubs come from. Oh boy…
Sarcastic Sneaking? Ugh, [LIONESS] HATES sneaking. She’s terrible at it, in fact. She muttered all this and then promptly returned with the mouse she caught. Nicely done. [LIONESS] got startled by a boar while she was trying to sneak up to a classmate. She ran and tumbled over a log, twisting her paw. She firmly insisted that she was FINE. JUST FINE. EVERYTHING IS GREAT.
Sassy [LIONESS] made jokes about how she’d sneak with her magical psychic powers. You’re not sure if that’s what happened, but whatever she did, it worked. [LIONESS] proclaimed that if anyone called her dumb, she would smack them. Although she didn’t do great today trying to maneuver into good sneaking places, you don’t think she’s dumb. Also, you don’t want to get smacked.
Secretive Silence reigned as [LIONESS] prowled through the bushes. [LIONESS] stated that she was more interested in the meerkat and what it was doing than staying in the bushes.!
Sinister Narrowing her eyes, [LIONESS] blended in the with the shadows to track the hare with ease. You found [LIONESS] whispering about how blood appears black in the moonlight. What happened to the practice hare?
Snarky You were treated to an insulting comment after [LIONESS] snuck up behind you and made you jump. [LIONESS] was obviously in the grass behind you the whole time. If only her stalking was as sharp as her tongue.
Soft [LIONESS] stayed just out of sight as she watched jerboas scamper around. [LIONESS] stepped on a thorn, and started bawling.
Spontaneous She may have missed catching the meerkat after that long in the grass, but [LIONESS] learned a lot about being invisible. [LIONESS] wasn’t interested in staying out of sight, and decided to chase mice instead.
Stingy [LIONESS] wanted to get the mouse, and wanted to get it just right, so she waited quite a while before finally catching it. It wasn’t even noon, but [LIONESS] claimed that it would be dark soon, and she didn’t want hyenas to steal her food.
Stubborn Patiently, but a bit brashly, [LIONESS] managed to stalk a meerkat up and down the savannah. In the end, the animal seemed to be utterly exasperated due to her persistent following. [LIONESS] was way too focused on something else to put much effort into her stalking. All she managed to follow was a grass plume.
Timid [LIONESS] was completely comfortable staying in the grass. [LIONESS] kept on crying about monsters in the grass.
Trusting [LIONESS] snuck up on a sparrow and proudly gave a tiny roar. The other cubs told [LIONESS] that she could sneak better if she hummed dramatic sneaky music while she did it. She really ought to stop listening to them, as hilarious as it was.
Unreliable After a few failed attempts, [LIONESS] successfully stalked a jerboa. It seems no matter how many times [LIONESS] tried, she was just too noisy for stalking today.
Upbeat [LIONESS] stalked a pridemate, and managed to notice and avoid a twig that would have given her away. The bird she was stalking was startled by [LIONESS] stepping on some dried grass. Oh, well. She prefers to watch birds instead of eating them anyway.
Vain You came across [LIONESS] off on her own, grooming. She had decided she didn’t need any lessons and had snuck away. You’d never even noticed! [LIONESS] was stalking a lizard in the grass and got covered in burrs, so she had to abandon her lesson early to pick them all out.
Warm [LIONESS] snuck up on you and pounced, wrapping her paws around your mane. Cuddles! [LIONESS] would rather rub her head against your chin than stalk about.
Wary You had to coax [LIONESS] into it, but as she stalked alongside you, you were pleased to note that she had listened thoroughly and her technique was perfect. [LIONESS] lost track of the rat she was stalking and ended up face to face with a crocodile! Understandably, she did not want to practice stalking after that.

Male Personalities

Personality Type Success Failure
Arrogant [LION] commented that his victory was inevitable. All the other maggots should never bother even trying. [LION] grumbled that it was pointless to show off today. Why should he bother trying? He was just going to win again.
Bold Stalking after a lizard while balancing on a precarious log perhaps wasn’t the best idea, but [LION] succeeded in getting a lizard snack! After a good while of stalking after what he thought was a gamebird, [LION] gleefully charged! Right into a grumpy lioness. RUN AWAY!
Candid [LION] took a moment to size up the terrain before going into stalk a lizard. Simple, but effective! [LION] attempted to sneak up to a bird in a straight line. He seemed to forget that birds have great vision.
Chivalrous [LION] did a great job emulating your stalking technique as he quietly followed a toad. You feel some pride. [LION] wasn’t sure if he liked the idea of getting a snack with trickery and underhanded sneaking. He just sullenly sat and refused to give it a shot.
Confident [LION] felt no doubt as he crept up to the unaware mouse. His surety paid off as he pounced with no hesitation! [LION] was sure in his skill, but he wasn’t quiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite sneaky enough today. Too bad.
Even-Tempered [LION] managed to stamp down his impatience and work hard on staying silent - which won him a tasty lizard in the end. [LION] was doing an alright job sneaking up on a baby boar….until suddenly the mother charged out of the bush and startled him in turn! Wow, it’s usually pretty difficult to rattle him.
Forgiving [LION] felt a little bad after he scared the crap out of his classmate with his sneaking. He left them a gift as an apology. Another cub was laughing hard after [LION] flubbed his sneaking attempt. He just grit his teeth and bore it good-naturedly.
Heartless [LION]’s stalking technique was impeccable, but was the bloodthirsty grin really necessary? [LION] spent the rest of the day mocking his target for running away after he got caught during the stalk.
Humble [LION] successfully stalked and caught a bird. He thanked you for showing him that great technique the other day! [LION] promised you that he’ll practice more for next time.
Hyperactive After an hour of running around, [LIONESS] managed to pull it together enough to get in some good sneaking! Nicely done! [LIONESS] was too twitchy to hold still, and thus all attempts at sneaking were completely botched today.
Loner Apparently the “power of darkness and shadow” granted [LION] his success in stalking today. Well, if it motivates him, then whatever works! [LION] wandered off. Most likely he’s brooding in a dark corner somewhere. Again.
Mysterious [LION] smoothly and quietly catches his target. The question is, why is every girl cub in the area here to watch? Oh great, [LION] disappeared again. You wish he spent less time daydreaming and more time actually doing things.
Patient [LION] proved he can truly excel in stalking as he spent a good half an hour sitting still near a rabbit den. A big tasty meal was his reward! While carefully watching meerkat holes for one to pop up, [LION] ended up falling asleep. Funny to see him napping in the middle of a meerkat field.
Self-Absorbed [LION] really did do a great job sneaking up on the meerkat, though the story he’s telling now definitely has some embellishments that make him sound even better. After [LION] was gone stalking for a while, you went to check on him - only to find him flexing and looking at his fur in a puddle of water. Hah!
Unscrupulous [LION] took some time to block the path of the rabbit with some tree branches before circling around to start stalking. That was….actually very effective. Well done. [LION] should have been practicing stalking lizards, but it looks like he got distracted watching in fascination as an anthill consumed a baby bird alive.

Adolescent Training

When cubs become adolescents, the training changes to watching hunts and following on patrols to up the bar, with much lower chances of gaining stats on age up.

1ybSfqz.pngVcFx8DJ.png

Female adolescents have the chance to gain between 1-2% per hunt they go on, and male adolescents have the chance to gain between 2-3% per patrol they go on.

XeNunvH.png

If your lion doesn’t reach the 100% before reaching adulthood, it won’t get the full stats. If it reaches 75% or more, it will gain the percentage reached of stats.

TTZHQg4.png

If the bar is below 75%, no stats will be earned on aging up.

6wgkJxR.png

Sometimes your adols might get a stat from hunting/patrolling training! However, this will be silent and only applied if the bar reaches at least 75% when they age up.

Adolescent training happens on your Hunting and Patrolling pages, they tag along with your adults when you pick them.
Sex changing does not affect the training bar

Decors

Yes, along with potentially raising your cubs' stats, you can also get lovely decors from training your kittens!
