Gold Beetles are the site's premium currency. They can be purchased for real money at the Oasis, bought from other users, or traded in exchange for goods/services. Gold Beetles are much more desirable than Silver Beetles, the site's basic, free currency. This is because they have a heavy value, and can be used to buy several customisation items, decors, gameplay items, and more! Before this feature was implemented, the userbase occasionally struggled on remembering what the current GB value was for that certain week. The usual rate would be 1200SB to 1GB, but certain events would cause the rate to rise or fall, leaving users confused and in the dark.

Now, if you're ever curious, you can head over to the page and see what the average SB to GB price is! It of course fluctuates, but provides a solid amount that users can view at any time - no more guessing or estimating required!

The average SB to GB price can be found at the very top of the Sales box, listed under "Current Average GB Price". When selling GB, the value will automatically show up as the average price, however you can always raise or lower it to suit your needs.

Let's go ahead and dive into seeing how you can acquire (or even get rid of) GB!

The top section is for putting your GB up for sale, while the bottom of the page is dedicated to other users selling their GB. This is all about buying, so let's focus on that bottom section!
You have a decent chunk of SB you've decided to spend. What now? Well, let's have a look at who is selling today, and for how much.

1000SB per 1GB? What a steal! You have 10,000, so let's go ahead and click "Purchase" on the second GB Sale listed.

Perfect! Your SB is automatically taken and given to the seller's account, while the GB is stored neatly on yours, safe, sound, and shiny.

If you find yourself at an excess of GB, or you just want more SB to spend around on various things, you'll find the selling mechanism to be very handy.

At the top of the page, there's this section.

It gives you a preset amount of SB that you can sell your GB for, but you don't have to go with that amount; simply enter a new value, and it will update it for you.
You feel like selling 5GB, so let's put that into the first box.

Neat! It even gives you the total profit you'll make! How handy; thank you, calculator. Once you're happy with the value, go ahead and click "List GB for Sale".

Nice. There's your listing, easily identifiable with the red "Cancel" button nearby.
If you find yourself regretting putting your GB up for sale, you can hit the button at any time, as long as the sale is still listed. The GB will go right back into your account!

It's an overall very simple process; easy to purchase, easy to sell, and you may find yourself using this feature often!
