Karma is a point-based system that essentially acts as a personalized lore-mechanic for your King. Altogether, there are 3 karma categories: Evil, Good, and Neutral. Evil requires negative karma points, Good requires positive karma points, and Neutral requires a medium of the two.

There are two ways to gain/lose karma points. The first is exploring, which will present you with encounters that will either take or give points, depending on the action that you take. The second is by chasing (0 points), killing (-5 points), or nature reserving (+5 points) the lions in your pride.

As your points grow or decline, you will find your King presented with different options for titles, as well as different explore encounters.

New Kings, by default, will always start out with 0 points; this means that upon retiring your King, your heir's karma will be 0!

To figure out your current karma points, you will need to visit the Karma Snake. You can find them by visiting Crossroads > Quests & Snakes.

From there, you can pay 50 SB to reveal your karma. However, this is not a permanent reveal, as this number is not recorded anywhere. You will either have to write it down, or remember it, until you pay to reveal it again!

Explore Banners  

Your explore banner will appear different depending on your King's karma. This difference specifically pertains to how your King's eyes are portrayed within the banner!

Evil (-400 or Lower) Neutral (399 to -399) Good (400 or Higher)

Explore Encounters  

While exploring, you will come across karma-based encounters. These encounters are dependent on whether or not your King is Good, Evil, or Neutral, and a majority of them will provide you with actions that you can take to either gain or lose points.

However, it's important to note that your karma gains and losses are not automatically revealed to you when exploring. To reveal them, you'll need to head over to the Karma Snake, and purchase them for 1000 SB.
