"You sit in the sun, thinking about how cool rain is. Literally."

Both seasons and the time of day on Lioden influence your gameplay via various aspects. Depending on the season and time, your lion will encounter different outcomes when Exploring, you may breed some exclusive bases if bred during the proper season, plus some items require you to breed during certain time of day in order to trigger their effect! In this guide you'll learn how important the day cycle and seasons are on Lioden!

Day and Night Cycle

On Lioden, both day and night last for 1 hour each, meaning you can experience day and night changes on Lioden 12 times per day! In order to check which time of day there currently is, look at the top right corner of your sidebar. The symbol indicates daytime, while the symbol indicates nighttime - they are both displayed on the left, next to the weather symbol!

Features that depend on the Day and Night cycle:

  • Some explore encounters and enemies may only appear during a specific time of day.
  • Dynamic decors and backgrounds will change their art to feature the time of day that is currently present on Lioden.
  • Once given a Mukombero item to a lioness, she may only be bred during nighttime on Lioden until the next successful breeding, resulting in giving birth to a Ferus cub.
  • The Crossroads art will display different aesthetics depending on the time of day.

Seasons

There are two seasons on Lioden - Dry and Wet season. Dry season () lasts 9 real life days, while wet season () lasts only 3 real life days. During dry season, the Crossroads will display dry, yellow grass with clear skies. Exploring, Territory, Hunting and Patrolling pages will also reflect similar changes. During wet season, the Crossroads will display wet, lush green grass with rainy skies. Exploring, Territory, Hunting and Patrolling pages will also reflect similar changes.

To see how many days will have to pass until the next season approaches, go to your Cooldowns page where it will display when the next season comes:

Features that depend on the seasons:

  • Some Explore encounters may only appear during a specific season.
  • During the August event, dry season will last till the event ends.
  • During the December event, wet season will last till the event ends.
  • Wet season unlocks the Flood Pit available on the Crossroads page.
  • During wet season, you can find some special items such as Broken Drones in Explore.
  • During dry season, you can find some special items such as Abandoned Nests in Explore.
  • Seasonal decors and backgrounds will change their art to feature the season that is currently present on Lioden.
  • Some base colours, such as Cloudburst or Snowflake can only be produced during a certain season.

Some Base colours may only be bred during a specific season. There are currently two bases that may only appear on cubs if your lioness is bred during wet season - Cloudburst & Snowflake. Please note that your lioness must be bred during wet season in order to produce a cub with one of these bases - it does not matter during which season the litter is given birth to.
