Getting Started

The first thing you'll need is 10 GB to purchase a Custom Decor Creator at the Oasis:

Once you have that in your hoard, you'll need to go to the item and hit 'create custom decor':

Decor Types

Once you go in to creating a decor, you will be presenting with a screen that gives you a lot of information regarding how to upload and the rules for custom decor. There are three different types of decor that Lioden breaks everything into:

Universal Decorations

These decorations only require one image, which can be applied universally to each base. You just fill out the "cub" image version and can leave the rest blank.

Age Specific Decorations

These decorations require one image per age and gender, not including different manes on adult males. For adult males, only fill out the "male normal" image version, and leave the rest of the manes blank.

Age & Mane Specific Decorations

The same as above, except with different mane images.

Decor Info

The first part of the creation screen you will have to name your decor, list the artist, upload a thumbnail, and put in a description:

Name

This will be the name on the site of your decor. You can do something clever, funny, or straightforward—anything is fine as long as it's within the rules!

Artist ID

This is the on-site ID of the artist that made the decor. This should not be your own ID unless you are the artist of the piece! Please note that it must be your own art, or the artist MUST have an account on LD in order to be within our rules.

Item Image URL

This is a URL (it can be from someplace like Imgur or a similar photo hosting site) that ends in .png of your "preview" thumbnail that people will see when it is listed in the custom decor catalog. It must be 100x100 and it's a good idea to feature the main portion of your decor, like a snapshot. It's the same as the site items that are in the Item Catalog. So keep that in mind when making a thumbnail image!

Description

This will be the description of your decor. Like the little blurbs that the site has for official decor, this will be what people will read when they view it. It can be funny, clever, or descriptive!

Once you finish that, you will have to pick whether the decor is Universal, Age Specific, or Age & Mane Specific

Then you will have to choose if it is a decor Above or Below the lion image

Any decor that's meant to be in front of or on top of the lion is considered an Above decor. Think about accessories, clothing, markings, or even a simple thing like rainfall. If you're wanting to do something more scenic that doesn't cover up any part of your lion, that is a Below decor. Things like trees, bushes, and logs are examples of this.

This is a preview of what all of that will look like once it's in-game and how it will appear for others:

Uploading Your Decor

Next it's time to upload your image links for the actual decor!

This may look daunting, but it's pretty straightforward. These are the parameters for the categories your decor falls under:

Universal Decorations

These decorations only require one image, which can be applied universally to each base. You just fill out the "cub" image version and can leave the rest blank.

Age Specific Decorations

These decorations require one image per age and gender, not including different manes on adult males. For adult males, only fill out the "male normal" image version, and leave the rest of the manes blank.

Game Example: Decors that "age" with your lion in the game, or display differently depending on the age and gender. For example, jewelry decor is different on each female pose, and on the cub stages since it covers the lion. Things like the Aging Arabian Wolf have different art depending on the age of the lion, i.e. Newborn Cub is different than Female/Male Adolescent.

Age & Mane Specific Decorations

The same as above, except with different mane images.

Game Example: The Lion Pride Accent decors (feathers) display on all of the cub stages, female poses, and males for each mane. For example, the decor is different for normal manes than it is for barbary manes, since the mane covers different portions of the head and neck and the feather has to be adjusted for each mane.
