Quest 14

"Hello again, [NAME]. I did manage to retrieve some residue, but it's already dissolved a bit, and I saw some big, deformed beings hiding among the river's muddy banks. There surely are a few more monstrosities out there, crawling and infecting other animals.

I am sorry to have to ask this of you again, but it would be for the best if you could slay those crustaceans again, for everyone's safety."

You have not fulfilled your task yet. 0/30 Celestial Crustaceans defeated.
Page 1

To complete this quest, you need to defeat a total of 30 Celestial Crustacean NPCs in Explore.

Each Celestial Crustacean defeated counts +1 towards the progress bar. Not counting other factors, this will take a little over three full energy bars (~300% energy) to complete this, assuming you use a Lucky Foot on each NPC and you do not spend your energy on anything else.

Oh no! This aggressive creature is radiating with interstellar energy! You should end it before it spawns more of its kind.
Action Result Reward
Attack! Initiates a fight with a Celestial Crustacean. Acts as a regular battle, so you can gain SB, Experience, and Impression if battle is won. No residue is awarded for this fight.

You can view your progress as you explore on the Journey to Vredefort Crater page. With each successful battle against a Celestial Crustacean, your NPC count will go up.

Once you have defeated 30 total Celestial Crustacean NPCs, return to the Demiurge.

"You found them all! That's one less thing to worry about. Thank you! Say, do you happen to know the weather patterns around here?"

Why do you ask?

Quest 15

"I figured that we could ask the otters around the Floodpits for some help in surveying the bigger bodies of water. Once it rains heavily, it would be great if you could ask them to look out for any Cancri meteors."

You have not fulfilled your task yet. The Flood Pit has not been investigated.
Page 3

To complete this quest, you must access the Flood Pit through Crossroads.
This can only be done during Wet Season on Lioden.
During August (a month-long Dry Season), the Flood Pit is manually opened from 12am LDT to 11:59pm LDT on August 14th and August 28th.

Once you visit the Flood Pit during Wet Season, you will see the following prompt at the top of the Flood Pit.

You approach the otters playing in the flooded waters. The splashing critters are having fun, and thankfully have not yet been tainted with the stardust.

Call them!

They curiously gather around you, as you tell them the incredible tale of recent weeks past, of what you've been through, and everything you've seen. To your surprise, they eagerly believe you, and even wish to go back with you to your den to meet the Demiurge!

Once the otters have been spoken to, return to the Demiurge.

"Hello...! Oh, what's this? Oh... Oh! Oh, wow, that's a lot of otters. Hello, everyone! Oh, careful with the mane... Oh, no, I am not a lion-otter, ha, ha...! Oh, I am overjoyed that these fellows want to help out! They are quite adorable, aren't they?

Thank you so much, [NAME]! I will speak to the otters and we will coordinate together. Two more meteors down!"

(+2 residue!)

Okay.
