Quest 8

"[NAME]! Finally! Oh, it's so unfortunate. The Cancer stardust is quickly digested by water microbes... they get eaten by larger and larger creatures in the food chain, but... marine life... it reacts differently than the rats did. It's just so bizarre. It seems as though it was meant to happen this way. It looks like the names given to constellations have a purpose.

The bubbling pools were breeding grounds for creatures tainted with this residue. I saw a few of those... twisted creatures... leaving the pool! They must be invading your lands! [NAME], you need to go exploring and kill all ten of the Celestial Crustaceans that I saw emerge into your territory!"

You have not fulfilled your task yet. 0/10 Celestial Crustaceans defeated.
Page 1

To complete this quest, you need to defeat a total of 10 Celestial Crustacean NPCs in Explore.

Each Celestial Crustacean defeated counts +1 towards the progress bar. Not counting other factors, this will take a little over one full energy bar (~100% energy) to complete this, assuming you use a Lucky Foot on each NPC and you do not spend your energy on anything else.

Oh no! This aggressive creature is radiating with interstellar energy! You should end it before it spawns more of its kind.

You can view your progress as you explore on the Journey to Vredefort Crater page. With each successful battle against a Celestial Crustacean, your NPC count will go up.

Once you have defeated 10 total Celestial Crustacean NPCs, return to the Demiurge.

"You've found them all! That's good, but I do worry that the waterhole was not an isolated incident. Do terrestrial lions eat water-dwelling animals? Oh. They do, sometimes? Hm."

We will hunt on land.

Quest 9

"That is a very great idea. Maybe you could claim more lions into your pride to spread the word to nearby dens?"

You have not fulfilled your task yet. 0/30 lionesses claimed.
Page 3

To complete this quest, you must claim a total of 30 lionesses through Explore.

Once they have been claimed, they can be bred, chased, killed, nature reserved, raffled, traded, or transferred off. As soon as they are off of claiming cooldown, you can do whatever you want with the lionesses - you do not need to hold onto them until you complete the quest.

The best way to finish this quickly would be to use Catnip and ensure you have 30 free territory slots open.

Once you have claimed 30 total lionesses, return to the Demiurge.

Quest 10

"We have a lot of ground to cover. I trust that you will be a kind leader, [NAME]. Try a friendly approach. As we travel, I will keep an eye out for any residue."

You have not fulfilled your task yet. 0/500 dens visited.

To complete this quest, you must visit other players' territories and den pages and click the "Spread the Word" button that displays.

Spread the Word

It does not require the player whose den page you're on to be online. You can go through all offline accounts one by one and complete this quest.

You can also use the "# member(s) online" link on the sidebar to find players that you can "Spread the Word" on, as that page displays 20 different players at one time.

You have informed the lions of this pride to avoid hunting and eating any animals that could have been tainted with stardust, especially the creatures dwelling within water.

The players must be unique, and you cannot "Spread the Word" on the same player more than one time. This also counts the 250 players that you previously "Spread the Word" to.

You have already spread the word here!

It's a good idea for you to have the Journey to Vredefort Crater page up in another tab and periodically check it, as there is no visual indication about what number den you're on.

Once you have spread the word to 500 total dens, return to the Demiurge.

"Whew. [NAME], I must say, that was a big adventure, and my short paws are so tired. Oh, have you noticed? I've been picking up things along the way! I carried some of the residue in my mane! We've found a whole three pieces - isn't that great? We're getting closer and closer each day.

Once we find it all, your world will be free from the dangers of Cancer. Let's go back to your den, now. I need a rest."

(+3 residue!)

Okay.
