It's April and rabbits and hares are breeding like crazy! Looks like we have a fluffy plague on our hands, and we heard that they like to carve weird things in Carved Easter Eggs with their ever-growing teeth.

With this April Event, you mighty lions need to catch as many Fluffballs as possible, and collect those Carved Easter Eggs. There are two areas to unlock - one calls for your Bunny Catching skills, and other calls for your egg-finding skills.

Event Information

This event is highly focused on exploring.
The explore encounters exclusive to this month can be found in all biomes.
Your lion's karma and level, as well as the biome you explore in, do not matter for this event.

In April, the community is working to unlock three tiers of two bars.
The more bunnies and rabbits are slain in Explore, the faster the Bunny Shop will unlock. Slaying bunnies (also known as "fluffballs") will earn you Fluffball Points, which are automatically counted towards the Bunny Shop's unlock bar.
The more Easter Eggs are collected, the faster the Egg Den will unlock.

This month's currencies are Easter Eggs and Hare Points.
Easter Eggs are predominately gained in Explore, while Hare Points are gained from completing storyline quests. You can also earn Easter Eggs from completing storyline quests and exchange Hare Points for Easter Eggs in Wenet's Shop.

The April event launches on April 1st at 12am Lioden time and will end on April 30th at 11:59pm Lioden time. All unused event currency will be stored on your account until the next year.

This big ostrich male seems to be challenging you! ...Or courting you?
Action Result Reward
Challenge! Initiates a battle with a Male Ostrich. Acts as a regular battle, so you can gain SB, Experience, and Impression if the battle is won. No Easter Eggs are awarded for this battle.
Fluff up You fluff up your fur and pretend to dance, too! The confused ostrich only gets redder as he approaches you, closer and closer... Oh, it looks like he has a gift for you! It's not the most romantic thing you've ever been given, but thankfully, the bird gets distracted by a real ostrich nearby and leaves you alone. +2 Karma
+1 Beetle: Eupatorus birmanicus [Opalescent]
This female ostrich has spotted you from afar. She seems to be agitated!
Action Result Reward
Follow You follow the bird for a while, making her more and more nervous each passing minute. She stomps at the ground, rustles her feathers, and finally scurries off, though not without dropping something behind. When you go to check out the big feather, you discover the reason why the ostrich was so angry in the first place! +1 Easter Egg
+1 Ostrich Feather
You find a female ostrich guarding a nearby nest.
Action Result Reward
Pounce The ostrich's maternal instincts tell her to stay and care for her nest. You take advantage of this and easily slay the bird. Unfortunately, the eggs got cracked during the takedown. -2 Karma
+1 Large Meat Chunk
You try to pounce and take down the bird, but you fail! You end up rolling onto the nest and cracking the eggs. The ostrich decides to save herself and flees. All you have to take home to your pride is some soft bedding. -2 Karma
+1 Ostrich Fluff (Very Low Chance)
Distract You make an awkward, quiet, high-pitched noise, which piques the ostrich's curiosity. While she's investigating the sound in nearby bushes, you sneak over to the nest and manage to steal some of the eggs! Sadly, none of them are carved. It seems they were laid a short time ago. +2 Ostrich Egg
You find an Egyptian Vulture trying to eat a Carved Egg! You chase it away.
+1 Easter Egg
NOTE: This encounter does not require you to do any actions or press any buttons.
You notice a very confused Ostrich staring at its nest for a while, after which it wanders off. Curious, you look inside and find a pretty engraved egg!
+1 Easter Egg
NOTE: This encounter does not require you to do any actions or press any buttons.
You stumble upon some unattended currency, left right here in the middle of nowhere. It's about time your luck picked up and showered you with the love you deserve! But, hold on.. It looks like these abandoned, carved eggs are hatching?! All this time, you thought they were empty on the inside!
Action Result Reward
Investigate You take the unhatched egg and leave the confused, newly-hatched ostrich chick all by its lonesome, with only its shell to keep it company. +1 Easter Egg
You take the unhatched egg, and pluck up the shell of the hatched one as well. The chick may have abandoned it, but there's no sense in wasting potential currency. You might be able to glue it together with some tree sap! +2 Easter Eggs

They can play here once a day for 60 minutes!

Tier Three of the Bunny Shop unlocks the Bunny Tunnels feature. This feature is available at the very top of the Bunny Shop when it is unlocked.

The Bunny Tunnels allow you to send off your adolescent females (ages 1 year to 1 year, 11 months) in order for them to gain a small amount of experience and stats, once per day per adolescent! You can only send out one adolescent at a time, and each expedition lasts for 60 minutes.

When your adolescents return, they will gain Experience equal to their (LVL x 20 to 30) and 2 to 5 stats randomly dispersed in each category (barring Skill).

Tier One of the Egg Den bar unlocks "Ostrich Chicks."
Tier Two of the Egg Den bar unlocks "Event NCLs."
Tier Three of the Egg Den unlocks the "Primordial Spring."

Ostrich Chicks

Looks like some of the engraved eggs hatched! All the ostrich chicks are chirping around! Care to dive in and play?

Your lion plays with the birds, soon enough covered with feathers, fluff and bird poop. Fun is training too, and trying to grab the little fellas is a great exercise.
You gained +(LVL x 40 to 50) EXP!

Event NCLs

"All the bunny hunt fun lured in my cousins from far away lands... maybe you could claim few of them into your pride? I've seen them exploring around."

Tier Two of the Egg Den unlocks event-exclusive NCL eyes and markings (also referred to as "April NCL eyes/markings"). These eyes and markings can be found on randomly-generated lionesses in Explore. A list of the eyes and markings and what they look like are provided below!

Primordial Spring

Rumour has it that if a truly brave lion drinks from this spring, depending on his will - his body will forget few years passed, or gain some true wisdom...

Tier Three of the Egg Den unlocks the Primordial Spring feature. Once per pride leader per account, you can choose to "Drink from the Spring..." in order to Spring Forward or Fall Behind, which will affect your current pride leader's age.

Spring Forward will age your pride leader up by 2 years, whereas Fall Behind will de-age your pride leader by 2 years.

If you choose to Spring Forward, you will receive the following text, and your pride leader will immediately be 2 years older!

Your lion takes a sip and under his skin muscles shift and shiver.. he seems to have grown older! He tries to sip more but looks like it was just a brief feeling... or was it?

If you choose to Fall Behind, you will receive the following text, and your pride leader will immediately be 2 years younger!

Your lion takes a sip and under his skin muscles shift and shiver, like he got young and perky again! He tries to sip more but looks like it was just a brief feeling... or was it?

Important Notes

  • To reiterate from the above, you can only use this feature once per pride leader per account. You cannot use the Primordial Spring with the same exact leader through multiple April events. If you do not have the option to use the Primordial Spring, this means you already drank from it during a previous April event with that same leader.
  • The youngest your pride leader can be is 2 years of age exactly. You cannot use the Fall Behind option to make your leader any younger than 2.
  • This feature can only be used on pride leaders. You cannot age up or de-age any pride members using the Primordial Spring.
  • You are able to use the Primordial Spring multiple times if you retire your leader multiple times during April. For example, you can age up your leader, retire them for free, then de-age your new leader during the same April event. This is because they are functionally a new lion, even if you happen to keep your leader's appearance during retirement or otherwise.
