Quest 1

"Let's begin with a survey of the land. Take 200 steps while exploring, and report back to me if you notice any Cancer residue. I will check out the rivers and other bodies of water. The Meteors tend to sink."

You have not fulfilled your task yet. 0/200 steps taken in explore.

To complete this quest, you must click the "Explore" paw print 200 times, essentially taking "200 steps". Not counting towards other factors, this will generally take about three and a half to four full energy bars (350 to 400% energy) to complete this, assuming you don't fight any NPCs.

You can view your progress as you explore on the Journey to Vredefort Crater page. With each "Explore" paw print click, your step count will go up.

Once you have reached 200 steps, return to the Demiurge.

"Thank you! Your descriptions will point our next search into the right direction. We need to check, however, if the Cancer is spreading among the creatures of this land."

What do you mean?

Quest 2

"The stardust from the constellation can affect animals. It would be very handy if you fight a few dozen and check them for contamination signs once they're weakened. A yellow glow, erratic behaviour, walking aimlessly and looking up to the stars… Meanwhile, I will go to the areas you described as being unusual and see if I can find the first pieces."

You have not fulfilled your task yet. 0/50 animals defeated.

To complete this quest, you must defeat 50 total NPCs in Explore.

Fighting a pack only counts +1 towards the progress bar. Multiple enemies in one battle only count +1 towards the progress bar.

Not counting towards other factors, this will take about five to six full energy bars (500 to 600% energy) to complete this, assuming you use a Lucky Foot on each NPC and do not spend your energy on anything else.

Lucky Feet are not required, but they are recommended to complete this as quickly as possible.

All NPCs count towards this quest, whether they are regular year-round NPCs or event-specific NPCs.

You can view your progress as you explore on the Journey to Vredefort Crater page. With each successful battle, your NPC count will go up.

Once you have defeated 50 total NPCs, return to the Demiurge.

"Welcome back, [NAME]! Ah. I see the animals did not seem unusual, then. That is great news! Perhaps the detritus has not affected anything living just yet… or it could be manifesting in some other way that I'm not familiar with.

Oh! Here's the residue I collected from the lands you've described. Check out how it looks, in case you find more. That was a good exploration effort. I will hold onto it, just in case it could have a physical effect on you. Let me study its properties on your planet."

(+2 residue!)

Okay.
