The July storyline, introduced in 2017, is an extension to the July event and the NPCs we meet during that month: Apedemak, Apollyon, and Menhit. Tefnut was brought in as a new NPC you meet during the storyline.
Novels
As of July 2017, the Falling Stars event has its own storyline involving Apedemak, Apollyon, Menhit, and Tefnut. The storyline begins with Novel 1 unlocking on July 1st at 12am Lioden time.
For ease of convenience, the novels and their branches have been split up into their own separate pages. Please click on the individual button images to be taken to that novel's page.

Daily Quest Pool
Once you have finished Novel 1, in between the novel unlock dates as well as once the storyline is finished, you are able to complete daily quests in order to receive extra rewards.
There are three NPCs you are able to complete quests with. You can only take a quest with one NPC at one time, and once you complete a quest with an NPC, you are on a 12-hour cooldown before being able to take another quest. The cooldown only starts once you finish a quest, and during your questing progress, the other NPCs will become greyed out. They will unlock after the cooldown is over. In addition to this, each time a new novel is unlocked, your quest cooldown will be reset, allowing you to take a new quest once you finish the current novel.
Daily quests are randomised from five possible options and will always offer the same rewards, though the event currency will be randomised to a degree. You can reset your quest and take a new one (whether from the same NPC or a different one) for a fee of 20 Meteorite Shards.
Meteorite Shards earned from daily quests do not count towards the event bars that are being unlocked.
Every quest that you complete with an NPC will also grant you +2 Reputation with that chosen NPC. Once you reach 40 Reputation with an NPC, the other two NPCs will become locked. Reputation has no other use beyond locking out specific NPCs.
The NPC that you choose in Novel 5 will affect the daily quests you can take, as you will earn +40 Reputation for the NPC that you align yourself with.
Apedemak
The Celestial Path.
Bring 6x food items
"Bring me 6x Food pieces so I can satisfy my Earthly hunger."
In order to complete this quest, you must give Apedemak 5 total carcasses—not 5 uses of carcasses. Any Food type item will work for this quest.
Collect 20 Whispers (explore)
"Trap 20 Whispers you find while exploring and bring them to me inside of this meteorite shard."
In order to complete this quest, you must Trap a total of 20 Whispers in Explore.
When you come across the following encounter, you must choose the "Trap" option.

Kill 6 lions in your pride
"Kill 6 lions in your pride to supply the Celestial Kingdom with Whispers."
In order to complete this quest, you must kill 6 total lions within your pride. They can be any age or gender, but you must click the "Kill" button on their pages.
Lose 50 Karma
"Prove to me there's no weakness in your heart. Lose 50 karma."
In order to complete this quest, you must lose a total of 50 karma after taking this quest. The easiest way to achieve this would be to eat three Vulture Eggs, which would grant you -60 karma.
Win 2 PVP Battles
"Defeat 2 lions in PVP to prove you're worthy of being a Divine servant."
In order to proceed with this, you must attack another player's pride leader via PVP and win, twice. You can attack different players each time. The PVP section can be found on any player's den page under the "Attack This Lion" section. Make sure you pay attention to your opponent's stats, and remember that you can only attack lions that are up to two levels below you—but there is no limit to how much higher of a level they can be compared to you.
Menhit
The Skyward Path.
Bring 4x Food Items
"Would you mind bringing me 4x Food pieces? I just don't have time to hunt with so much happening."
In order to complete this quest, you must give Menhit 4 total carcasses—not 4 uses of carcasses. Any Food type item will work for this quest.

Send 6 Lions to the Preserve
"Please save 6 lions in your pride and send them to a Nature Reserve, away from my father."
In order to complete this quest, you must nature reserve 6 total lions within your pride. They can be any age or gender, but you must click the "Send to Nature Reserve" button on their pages.
Win 12 Battles (explore)
"Please protect us today from any disturbance, I have the whole day to be alone with Apollyon. Defeat any 12 creatures in explore around us."
In order to complete this quest, you must win 12 total battles against any NPCs in Explore.
Apollyon
The Sidereal Path.
Apollyon's quests are unlocked once you complete Novel 2 of the storyline.
Bring 6x Food Items
"I require a tribute of 6x Food pieces for me and Menhit to survive for today."
In order to complete this quest, you must give Apollyon 6 total carcasses—not 6 uses of carcasses. Any Food type item will work for this quest.
Chase 6 Lions from your Pride
"Get rid of weak lions in your pride - chase 6 of them to show you've got the guts."
In order to complete this quest, you must chase 6 total lions within your pride. They can be any age or gender, but you must click the "Chase" button on their pages.
Claim 5 NCL's
"Gain 5 new fresh followers in your pride. Any lioness from explore will do."
In order to complete this quest, you must claim 5 total NCLs from Explore. The easiest way to complete this would be to use a Catnip on your lion to attract more NCL encounters for 30 minutes.
Once you claim them, you are free to do with them as you please. You do not need to hold onto the NCLs once they are claimed.
Defeat 8 Lions (battle)
"Win 8 battles with any lions in explore to show your superiority over weak ones."
In order to complete this quest, you must win 8 total battles against any NPC that is categorised as a lion. This counts towards Apollyon from July's event encounters.
